To improve the conditions for shooting video, I decided to make an operator video crane with a slider function.

All previous videos I shot on a ceiling tripod. For the most part, I was happy with it, but it had 2 drawbacks: it is still limited in camera movement. And due to the large length, this tripod springy.
In addition, when shooting a DIY video, all the same, you need to change the angle, for example, if you cut something with a grinder, then it is better to place the camera on the side, if you clean it, then from above, if you collect - from above, from the side of the wall. The crane has no such shortcomings, it can be put in any position, it can be rolled and fixed.
The main highlight of the crane design adds the ability to use it for horizontal panning, or horizontal wiring.
The basis of the crane is welded from pipes with a diameter of 28 mm. The tripod is on 3 swivel wheels with fixation, which allows you to roll and fix the crane in any position. The main joint is equipped with sealed bearings and has a 20 mm diameter axle. The boom is made of profile pipe 20x20 wall 1.5. Bracket for the camera - from a pipe 15mm x 15mm. It also uses sealed bearings for a smooth ride of the head. The camera is mounted on a turntable, but in the future I plan to install a normal video head here. On the opposite side of the boom is a load of 2 steel plates. At the bottom is a removable giant concrete block, with its presence, the crane becomes practically not overturned. At the bottom of the socket block, this is for stationary power for the camera, and maybe I will power an additional light at the end of the arrow, or some other equipment.
I am not a professional vlogger and this camera crane is mostly an experiment to make it easier and better to shoot videos. For the most part, this camera crane will be used as a universal tripod. And in some cases - to help with the implementation of horizontal or vertical postings.
I made a crane, but I haven’t learned how to shoot it yet, I’m training. After some time I will tell you how convenient or not convenient it is to shoot with this crane.
