I think Cub has always had the closest match, and Impulse has said on his podcast that he changes his skin to match the character he wants to play for the season

I think it's great that every season of Hermitcraft, Impulse changes the body of his skin, but it is still identifiable as Impulse! He does it so flawlessly!

Cub's skin used to be an old man though, he changed to the current skin (based on his real appearance) in Season 8 as I recall.

I think it's interesting that most of the women of Hermitcraft use skins that look somewhat like themselves. I think Cleo is the only one not to have done a face reveal? As far as the others go, I think Beef, Ren and Scar look the most like their skins.

Hi Fred! Yep, Cleo is the only female presenting Hermit not to have done a face reveal. Beef, Ren and Scar do look pretty close to their skins

Ironically, while Keralis is firmly in the "face looks nothing like his skin" category, his irl appearance definitely fits what you think of when you hear his _nationality_ (he's a Pole that moved to Sweden). Like, you see that, and you think "tak, to jest polak".

Frankly, when I first saw Tango's skin, I thought it was modeled after a minecraft skin of Marvel's Thor. It took me a while to understand that it's not. There are some similarities, but ultimately those are two different things.

3:02 We do know what Hypno looks like btw. You can see his face in almost all his streams and even a couple of his Hermitcraft videos. He looks nothing like his skin really.

Ah! Thank you very much. I did try to do a bit of sleuthing, but I must have had a very unfortunate sampling of his videos and look online to not find anything! He is one that I have only been watching for season 10. I have a lot more knowledge of most of them, but a few I have only seen this time around.

@@Crixall He doesn’t often have his face in his videos. It was only in a couple of his videos in Season 9 during Decked Out when he forgot to record and had to use stream footage for his videos. So it’s easy to miss if you don’t check streams.

I like how a lot of the Hermit skins better reflect their personalities more than their physical appearances. For example, Keralis, Bdubs, and Scar all seem to express their inner childs through their wide-eyed skins. Grian's skin embodies the boundless chaos that brews inside him. And I'm just convinced that Etho is Kakashi.
