Segmented registration is your friend. Set your marks every 4ft or so and your issues should go away.

I will buy this from you if you’re serious. Ive worked with one at work for about 5 years and understand the issues you are talking about. But I know how to use it very well and I’d love to get this for a better price than new

Just put more marks in rasterlink and make them thicker. Should do the trick. Best luck to you!

I have Mimaki CG 130 SRIII and can cut longer things ... try to use other Mark shape and bigger mark size

We cut full rolls on this cutter often. We usually keep the panels small (Distance to the floor) as we mostly half-cut stickers on this thing. I have run into the issue you described as well. Its annoying when it happens. However its usually due to media alignment issues or incorrectly setting your origin point. We also have a small Graphtec that is too small. We set our mark size to 0.65". Only 4 marks for our panels. Its capable of reading marks on chrome/mirror with the mark fill option. Mark alignment is key and should be square. The sheet edge is not always square to the marks. It does have several tool config memory like the Graphtec. We mostly use four settings to cover the common media 3mil and 6mil, kiss and Half Cut. We typically dont need to adjust the blade depth once its been set. Its a cheap vinyl cutter. However, the biggest issue I have with it is it needs more pinch rollers. The blade holder that came with it was faulty, and the blade depth changed as it cut causing all kinds of problems. Once we figured that out it has been solid. kzfaq.infoINaS66hWs7k

Highly recommend the Summa T Series. Best money I’ve ever spent for the shop. Our Summa S2 T160 is extremely precise and easy to use. I think our lease is around $210/month. Never had an issue and it cuts 20+mil materials with ease. Set it up in an afternoon by myself and taught the employees how to use it in 15min. We bought through Airmark and their tech support was awesome when we were figuring out how to set the knife depth and pressures etc. I’ve played with Graphtec before at a former job before I went out on my own and it was issue after issue with both units we had.

need to enlarge your registration marks i.e..... anything over 2mtrs should be a min of 10mm sq registration, anything over 4mtrs in length rego lines should be a min of 15mm sq and so forth... Also make sure the pinch roller tension springs are down for more tension when die-cuttling long runs.

Large stretch of print and small marks on an awfully large piece of graphics for the plotter to compensate for. 20x20mm brands are better for larger prints. You can also set the way of reading those marks

My cutter is an inexpensive one and it gives me problems. I had the q45 at the shop it was better but still had problems. They are evil machines lol

Make the registration marks larger and add multiple on rasterlink. I don’t have the cutter alone but I have a cjv 160 and Ive print and cut graphics well over 12 feet.

Maybe your marks aren't too thin or small or not thick enough or black enough you could .25 dot instead of crop register marks don't have your machine but give it a try.

The summa tangential model is pretty awesome but i hear there software sucks. But that tangential cutting head flies and cuts very fine details nicely. When my 63 inch graphtech dies i going to get the suma.

Your registration marks are too small! Try with 1 inch marks! After an operator mistake, we print 8 meters of stickers with marks only on ends of material! Our CG FX cut it with very low misalignment !

Everything I've read, the Graphtec machines are the best. We have a rebranded Summa that came with our HP Latex 335 and it works okay, but it always seems to be just a hair off on the registration during cutting. I would say, get rid of that Mimaki and get a Graphtec.

I have the exact cutter and I’ve been using it for 7months now and the only solution I’ve found is to just keep trying over and over again until it finally scans all 4 regs 🤦🏻‍♂️, i noticed putting the laser dot right inside the corner pocket of your reg helps a lot Nonetheless i also regret buying this cutter, currently looking to get a summa t series would recommend the same

It’s me! I’m the other guy using that stupid plotter. 😢😆. It is by far the weakest link in my shop. I have been pretty disappointed. So much wasted material. I can’t count the amount of times I have to restart the machine, power it off and back on again, just trying to get it to work. It stops in the middle of jobs as if you raised the pinch rollers. It just randomly has new issues every other month. Mimaki will absolutely fix any issues they find though as long as you kept your box and ship it back to them on your dime. 😩😖 It is terrible

Graphtec..& Yes Suma...also Roland..Never an issue w/ Roland...nor Graphtec!
