Wow! Looking back at the old Xbox One dashboards brings nostalgia in a way, since my Xbox one is a day one edition I went through all those dashboards and honestly I miss them. The new dashboard honestly sucks compared to older ones.

No. I hated the 8.1 tiles interface. It looked so complicated and unprofessional 🤔😑 After some updates they went for the Windows 10 interface. Which worked. 😊

You should actually be able to play those games with any other account on that console, since they are tied to the account unless this person changes their Home Xbox. Hope what I said is not confusing. Edit: you're probably unable to play the other games because they had them on disc instead of digital, or the games you can play are tied to a separate account which made this Xbox their Home Xbox.

CRC sticker on the first Xbox box means it's a Target return, Central Return Center. Goodwill buys pellets of Target returns and clearance items, like what bin stores sell.

The gamertag on the Xbox one console is probably been set as home console which allows you to play your digital games offline. Also allows other people to play the games offline also on that console. Awesome to see the old dashboard, it was basic and much easier to navigate compared to the new one. I always get lost on my nephews One S when I am navigating on it.

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="584">9:44</a> I once bought a 3.5" HDD to put in my pc, and the bloody thing just came like that, some plastic bags full of air and the bare drive just in the corner of the box... I was amazed that the thing worked (and still does almost 2 years later), it does make some interesting noises upon power up, but I've seen identical drives do the same so I guess it's normal operating behavior.

That was the Xbox One I had from November 2019 to March 2023 (it got me through the whole COVID-19 pandemic). The dashboard I had when I first got Xbox One was the refinement process one.

It only lets you play the games form the accounts that are the home Xbox if it’s not form a account that’s the home Xbox it won’t let you play it offline

As long as the account on that console is listed as it's home console it will boot the game that it has purchased. The other games don't boot if they're from a subscription like games for gold or Game Pass.

The Phil console had a college email. Probably a console they bought when they went to college with money that wasn't theirs. When they moved back home it was easier to donate it then drag it across the country

The Microsoft Company Store Purchases are generally worth more than the regular game (not always though). There's people that seek those out specifically for collecting. Also, those stickers are impossible to get off the case.

@@Bubbalove007 Well from my own experience the Xbox One is an extremely frustrating console to use. Physical games still often need internet updates for the game to even work and the console is so freaking slow... I have pretty bad internet but it's still quite slower than the ps4. At least the OG Xbox One model.

the fluid design was meant to be unversial between laptop, desktop, xbox and the phones that they produced. windows 10 was supposed to be unversial and help the phone lineup become widely accepted. it was awesome but they ended up dropping nokia ( who made the microsoft phnes) and selling the company back for a record loss. it was seamless but couldnt corner the market. i had a microft phone and it was universal.

Only downpart with Xbox One and Series X blu ray drives from what I heard is that both console and BR drive are tied with a unique encryption key to prevent the Xbox 360 shenanigans of buying a new drive to play pirated games with. You cannot go and replace drives and they work. But. If you are an owner of a ton of digital games or Game Pass Ultimate you are in for gaming anyway.

The Xbox Series X that came with the box that has forza horizon in the back. Of the Those are not launched consoles. The one that comes with Halo infinite behind the box. Those are the launch consoles.

The more i understand the eternal components of modern technology, i become more content with older tech. Especially with vehicles. Anything newer than 95 i wont buy, unless im forced to because of regulations in the working world. Like a box truck, some contracts require something 2012 or newer, but i dont like them smog pumps.

Games bought digitally are married to the console itself as well as the account. The ones that work were bought on that console. The ones that don’t were bought on different ones.

Easiest way to figure out if a PS3 controller is fake is to plug it up to a wall outlet with a phone charger. A legit Sony controller will not charge that way. The fake ones charge.

These charity shops should be given a chance. They are doing good for the world (unless it's for a church). If they were going to test them they would need people involved in tech to really know what the score is and they usually cost money. Realistically all they could do is lower the prices.

To know if a PS3 controller is fake, look at the top of the blue top of the box. If it’s blue, it’s fake, if it’s black, it’s genuine.
