I bought y starlink yesterday and I am unable to setup with residential service plan. The only plan available now in Lagos is Roam plan which is about N180k monthly. Don't buy starlink right now... He is saying the truth

You can switch the plan in your starlink profile. I just got starlink today and connected with the roam plan. I have already switched to residential so starting next payment cycle, I will be on residential.

Woah thanks a lot Magnus, was planning to get it next week and I stumble across your video, the odds. I think I'll just wait it out till availability is back. I'm even currently using an "unlimited" plan from airtel that I discovered a few days ago and pushing it to see if any FUP policy applies. Even if its truly unlimited, I'll still go for starlink for stability sake when it comes to ping for gaming.

Those areas over-purchased it. Causing congestion. It can happen to your city as well if there are a lot of buyers and users in that city. The availability map will show you

Dude, congestion? No, you are partially wrong. There are only 30k Starlink users in Nigeria after one year. America has over 1m users. What happened is that they reduced the entire infrastructure for Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Thats why it seem like its congestion. Small bandwidth in general.

Hello boss I just bought my starlink am trying to create a new account but I am have this same congestion issues not available I live on the outskirts of ogun state and Lagos state so I guess that’s why my address is not working so I was thinking if I should use Abe okuta since it’s not congested there and am in Ogun state so I want to be sure if I won’t have issues bc of it later

I was surprised to see some are struggling with the same congestion as in the U.S. It probably means the local ISP's are doing a poor job with coverage.

@@iammagnus1 The number of Starlink users will depend on what options and speeds are available locally. In Europe Starlink has few users, because Fiber and 5G coverage is less expensive and available for most.

You can change your Service address on the standard plan in Abuja and Lagos anytime if you know the trick. I have done that for several people.

If you're in Lagos, Abuja or Kano or any congested city, yes. The standard plan is fixed... If you're in any of those congested cities then you need to switch to mobile plan WHEN you change address to another congested city or part of town
