Well of all the budget mics I've heard, this was by far the most recent 😂. This week seems to be putting the NO in Maono

Excellent video (and the other one). I love the videos of the "cheaper stuff". Although most of this stuff is not for me. I'm sure a "beginner" would be over the moon. I know I would if this stuff was available 45 years ago.

I was excited for this one and to here a comparision between this and fifine am8. Its rare that maono dropped the ball. So i will be picking up the fifine am8 either on my birthday or on sale. I did like how the rgb lighting looked in the pic tho

Maono isn't bad for starters that's for certain. This one I'd recommend to people on a budget, easily. But if you're an audio nerd like my self, It'd be a hell no lol. I COULD see my self using it for say, plugging into my phone for quick tiktoks or something, sure. A good lil mobile setup? That too. But for an every day use scenario, I wouldn't unless again, I were just starting out. These can sound fine for the long run too though, seen plenty do it and know some personally who do despite having all other top end gear. They just EQ it during recording and such. The only thing bad is like you said, they do tend to distort easily!

I don't care what a mic sounds like, i just want it to light up and change colour when I'm talking. Okay I'm joking. There are by now mics at the cheaper end of the scale that work, I dunno, how are Beringer's LDCs? I'd still recommend a Rode NT1 (possibly the signature issue) to someone starting out on vo that doesn't have a grand plus to drop on a Neumann or Austrian Audio, lewitt etc. But definitely don't waste money on something like that!

This thing is worse than the tonor td510 and that is bass boosted as hell, I hope this is a defective model and maono didn't release a bad product like asus did with their 180 dollar
