Do'O Kappa is a traditional tribal delicacy of the Garo tribe who live in the north-eastern part of India.. mostly in the Garo hills of Meghalaya and also in parts of Assam, Tripura and Nagaland.
The Garo are a matrilineal society, which means a baby after being born lives with his/her's mother's family which is very rare in our Country as well as in the world.
The food habits of these people are quite liberal and a lot different in compare to the other parts of our country. They eat almost all kind of meat available.. be it Beef, Pork, Chicken even Bison and Deer.. Bamboo shoot used as vegetables as well as broth is one of the most famous ingredients in their dishes. They mostly don't use cooking oil and use an oil substitute instead, called Khar or Kalchi.
They make Kappa using very few ingredients and it's one of their delicacies. The dish is quite spicy and very healthy in nature..
I was really skeptical before cooking or even eating it.. but I have to say, this is probably one of the most unique and different Chicken dishes I've ever eaten.. Do give it a try...

Been through your channel for a few months and observed a few things... First of all what makes a food vlogger extraordinary ? Obviously the answer is the knowledge about food, it's traditions, it's cultures, it's ethnicity and many more ! There are many so called famous vloggers out there in Kolkata who've a huge subscriber count on KZfaq but they've 0 knowledge about food and exaggerating something you've no knowledge about isn't something which seems to be very cool ! But anyways, you do have a vlogging channel; the demonstration, the detailings, the reviews are magnificent... No oversmartness, no exaggeration, no paid promotion and anything else .... It goes really well with bread, or a little overcooked flavoured Rice (the one we use, to make Pulao). Someone tried it with noodles too, and she loved it... So you can try that too.

Before even baking soda comes to Garo Hills, Garos have been using kar(kalchi) made from bamboo,banana, cotton plants,Mustard plants etc.since immemorial time.
