A genuine compliment is not too much on the first date, it tends to make me feel more comfortable with the person because I don't feel like they feel forced to be going to dinner with me

Compliments are always appreciated! But as far as being picked up, I would rather drive myself for a couple reasons. Driving myself prevents any sort of terrible situation from happening, like a kidnapping or them taking me somewhere we didn't plan on going. I know that sounds bad and like I'm not trusting, but it is better to be safe than have something incredibly bad happen. Maybe as a Christian woman I think this because I want to be skeptical due to all the bad date experiences I have heard of. The hope is that I would be going on a date with a nice and trustworthy Christian guy and that nothing bad happens. Driving myself simply takes the risk out of it. Also, driving myself allows me to have the opportunity to leave when I want right after the date or if I am uncomfortable with the person during the date. Just wanted to throw my perspective out there to you guys of why I would rather drive myself because maybe you've never thought of that.

I think it is great to compliment people, as long as it's genuine. If one or both of you are just out to flatter the other person, then I don't think it's wise.

Always use discretion, don't be naive, and do anything you can to guard and protect your relationship with God.

To pick up or not: depends on the circumstances. Never if I don't know the person well enough/trust him. It's a matter of safety. Depends on the circumstances if I do know him well and trust him. Sometimes it's just not practical. Sometimes I just don't want to. Sometimes I would like to be picked up.

I would just say... Be careful of putting all of the pressure on the girl to speak during the first date. This may amplify the pressure to impress you (the guy), and give you a distorted view of the person that you are sitting with. It makes a girl feel that you are mature/responsible/honoring them, and that you are somehow acknowledging the fact that you are both going out on a date with her parents--if she is living with her parents--if you pick her up in your car. Great advice otherwise (and in spite of;) )! Curfew suggestions? (Although that may be touched on in other videos.) Love the videos guys! Such a great witness and training grounds for our young people!

Conversation is so important and yes get the big things out of the way although sometimes it pushes Guys the wrong way. Kenny has talked about his exes so many times lol but I knew I married a man with no filter so it’s all good

I am so glad I didn't go on first dates 😀 I would be SO nervous, especially if it was a blind date or someone I just met. I went to Starbucks on my first "date" with Jon after being friends for 5 months. Now we're married. Good advice and tips though 😄 I'd have to know those important things before deciding to go on a date, too. Good reason I'm married now and don't have to worry about meeting someone. Phew! 🙆🏽 My husbamd told me he loves me on our first official date, sooo.... I don't have good advice😂

Some advice 😁 don’t feel pressured to kiss at all on the first date. Just like Paul said, go for a simple side hug. Girls, don’t wear low cut tops or revealing clothing. Be discrete. It should be about what’s inside of you and not what is on top of you. Go to a place so you can create a conversation, for example, bowling!

Personally....my first date was a let down. We went to a very casual place. I never told him that it wasn’t quite what I expected, of course. That would have been so mean 😬 My vision of a first date is a nice restaurant...one that I have to dress up a little for. And I enjoy intelligent, engaging, funny and sometimes deep (but not overly personal) conversations. Just my thoughts 👍🏻

1:15 so true! I was on a blind first date with someone that paid for a fancy dinner and a show, and it was not good 😬 Pick up for the date... I usually say no for a first or second date, but I guess it depends on how well you already know the person 🤷 Just kind of a safety thing sometimes
