Here's a philosophical point of debate for you. OK. its YES. Bside you say no in reality its YES. I know you want to say yes but when schech it look like is not increase. The SLAT go in decrese angle of atack but with that you can increase the angle of atack of the plane. So the problem of high angle of atack is the stall event where lift go down drastical, including the slat this make the stall event happen later, due to induced flow air. If before you can takeoff with an angle of 10º with slat can take off with 12º so at conclusion it increase the capability to takeoff at higher angle of atack.
