In this video we will take a look at the Slick Trick "Viper Trick" broadheads. We will assemble them out of the package and put them head to head vs. my field points in an accuracy test.

You’re not alone in the frustration of opening these lol. Every time I wonder what in the world they were thinking as I tear into the package like a 4 year old who trying not to cut himself in the process 😂

Searched for ages for a fixed blade that groups as per my field points. Found these Vipers about 3 years ago and will never change....extremely happy. Run these in 100grn version on CX Piledriver Hunter 350's, at 70#, 29.5" d.l., total arrow weight including Nockturnal, 496grns..... foc just on 8%.... in theory not high enough for hunting but this combo is super ( target comp grade) accurate and deadly out to 60 yards.

Probably a little light but I bet they fly like darts.

Mathews Legacy is probably my favorite shooting bow to date! And I’ve owned many new bows since then

I have shot these for a couple seasons now. They fly great and with a heavier setup I get pass throughs. The 3 faults that I could point out with this head; 1. The box is hard as heck to access, I wish they would change that. 2. I wish it came in 4 or 6 packs. 3. I have had 2 ferrules roll over at the very tip. Still killed the deer, idk if I hit a rock or tree on the other side but it was definitely bent and not reusable. The rest of the ferrules I haven't had this problem with just 2 out of the 8 heads that I've shot a deer with. 9/10 would recommend this head to anybody. Good video!

Good comments. These did come in a four pack.

I agree that the current packaging sucks, but all the Viper Tricks that I have bought the past 6+ years have come in 4-packs. The standard & magnum probably have a tougher ferrule, but the Viper Trick tip will most likely penetrate a bit better.

I think the Viper Trick is a hybrid between a cut on contact broadhead and a fixed blade broadhead like the Magnum. If someone shoots a lower poundage bow, I would highly recommend the Viper Tricks. I like the angle of the Viper Trick blades (not as steep as the Magnum), which also helps in penetration. I find the blades easy to remove & sharpen. No screws, springs, or rubber bands to deals with is a big plus, too. If I am shooting a field point and Viper Trick arrow at the same target, I shoot the Viper Trick first. I do that because I don't want the Viper Trick broadhead to shave off my vanes/blazers from the field point arrow.

Obviously they don't fly like field points. The grim reapers and spitfires are best because the blades are always folded in to protect the sharpness of the blades as they sit in your quiver over the years..

I've been using them since 2008, never had that issue. Gold tip 400 hunter pro. Hopefully you can find a solution, your situation is really rare for ST mags. They are a extremely good broadhead.

Will these fit on an Easton RPS insert either on 1816s or 1916s? I know very little about broadheads.

Most broadheads have universal threading so the chances are good.
