Biologically my grandchildren or NOT!! If they are in my life. They are my grandchildren. Period! My son passed away. My daughter in law remarried and her second husband has a son. His son is my grandson. He is treated exactly the same as my sons boys. We have welcomed both my newest grandson and his father into our family. Zero difference in inclusion, gifts, or time spent.

AND, didn't the promiscuous girl become the wife? Did the grandmama? I really hope this young couple can rise above all of this and grow up to raise a beautiful and healthy family. When I here a mother lost sole custody of their kid my first thought isn't it's the courts fault, its what did she put before her kid that led to her losing them.

It takes a lot of work and effort to have a kid and raise that kid. Imagine this young woman with six kids going through all this, then wasn't even informed her kids were getting married or invited. We do have to remember there is something like culture and basic human values of respect, which go around. The mom is wrong to meddle in their affairs. But they too, didn't start out right, which made her suspicious about everything regarding their union. All of them have their own fault because there are all types of respect, for parents, for the married couple, etc. Nobody in this situation played their role well.

I don’t like how she spoke to Ms. Mason about the number of children she had. She was a married woman having children with her husband, who admittedly was not providing. Ms. Mason should be commended for taking care of her six children. That young woman should be supported because if she can do this on her own, imagine what she could do with support. Meanwhile the man that took her as his wife and brought more children into the world wasn’t asked if he had a job, or if he was in school. I wonder why? And the grandmother made it clear she would support them. Where is the accountability? Ms. Mason I don’t know where you are now but I wish you well and hope you prosper.

I have to remind my sons who are 54 and 51 now, with the boys some getting married and some engaged, at no point when they bring a girlfriend home, do you say or even hint, that you do not like their choice of girlfriend, you welcome them with open arms and genuinely care for them, it will fall apart of itself, but if you have parental opposition that’s a recipe to push them together.

Why? A lot of women insist on multiplying a mistake. When you know you have a loser with the first child, there is no honor or respectability in multiplying the mistake just so the mother can claim the dubious honor of having the same father for all her children. That’s false pride and putting on a false front. Even if you’re married, if your husband proves to be unworthy of having more children with you, you’re a big fool if you decide to produce more children with your mistake of a mate.

Its interesting how people perceive the world through the lens of their narrow portion of life and assume its how all the world is. I get that that is probably true in your perspective but not in mine. In mine if a woman has 4 children I assume they are all from the same father and am taken a bit aback if they have different fathers. In my world it is the rule that women have their children, regardless if 4 or more, with the same father rather than the exception.
