Totally agree with this message. First, Choosing the least popular road will definitely lead you to a successful life. Also, saving money is the key to financial and personal growth. You can start saving 5% of your paycheck, then go up to 10% and later 15% or more. I personally save 15% and have never struggled in managing my finances even during these tough economic times. The beautiful thing about this advice is that you don't need an educational degree to become financially independent. All it takes is some common sense and forethought. Anyone can do this regardless of their background.

At work back in the '50s and '60s your companies actually respected the workers were loyal to their workers they had pensions they had medical benefits they had vacations they had arbitration they had unions the unions were strong and demanded respect from management employees employees were not treated like garbage whatever work today this would never work today

Definitely your opinion is valid. But if we look at the statement of being an "Expert in your field", the fired person would always be an asset which everyone would always SORT after. It might be an opportunity to get a better offer. Kahlil Gibran stated that 'Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars". You can always save to re-invest in profitable business. Most wealthy people always have a backup savings even if they invest them in their businesses. So saving still works, just that the priority at hand matters a lot. Truly, in these modern days of ours, if you're still trying to find your bearings, you can't continue saving everything without putting some of it to work for you. Thanks for the lovely comment.

Don't save.. governments control the value of your money. Pension funds collapse. What you need to do with money is invest in assets which are secure. Land is always a good option. This advice is out of date. It's sad when you see people working themselves to death in a poorly paying job or to lose their savings or pensions to political whims and asset stripping companies.
