Since I watched it (everyday for maybe 6months) I started watching your podcast everyday twice a day. Fast forward a year later, I am a stronger, more confident, happier, smarter and self helping person, mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend because of you and my work listening and applying your expertise, wisdom and advice. This podcast was made for me at such a time as this. Mel-I’m a thinker but desperately need to be both. I begin chemo & radiation today MONDAY MORNING for the next 6 weeks. My traps are certainly scrolling before brushing teeth. But if i really want to focus on how to beat this beast, i have to laser focus on this subject. My mornings going forward will determine how the rest of my life will become. Life is hanging on the balance. Asking for Prayers and tough love to slay this beast and live my best life at 55. Love you ❤so much!

Your statement "you would do it for someone else ", really hit me. I have been trying to feel like I am in such a rut. I lost my youngest adult daughter and then 18 months later lost my husband. I feel like I have no purpose. I have no reason pushing me to get things done. But I still have me, I am dissatisfied, and I want to break out of this stupor. Thank you for helping me see I am worth keeping promises to myself

Tomorrow I have a job interview. I haven’t had a conventional job in a decade. I experienced some horrific trauma I learned to cope with bc sleeping all day while people were at work, and it was safe for me to not be abused. And then I would wake up at night exercise go grocery shopping get all the things done that I would normally get done during the day.. now it’s time for me to change that. Since I no longer have any more money to pay my rent or bills, and it’s time to face the world, even if people look at my face and say what happened to you? I used to be so beautiful, but my ex not only broke my bones. He broke my teeth. All of these feelings of shame and unworthiness swirl through my head and make me wanna hit the snooze button. My commitment to myself, and show up for the job interview, sleepless, trying to start a new life.

Can relate!! I always think that the reason I sleep so much is because my parents didn’t let me sleep enough growing up - one made me be productive until very late - like midnight, the other wanted me up at 5am. So now I overdo it in my adult life and sleep way too much. I always think I don’t want to get up because I enjoy my bed, I enjoy sleep and rest. But then when I look at it, I don’t feel any better once I’ve gotten up late, in fact I feel lazy and guilty and not satisfied because I haven’t been at all productive or enjoyed anything I wanted to do either. We can do this in 2024!! Turn things around 💪🏼💪🏼

I have always used my cell phone for emergencies in the car, ordering food on the way home, and to look up my schedule for next week. And I have never and do not intend to text. I have watched people walk out into the street looking or texting on their phones. I slow down for them but always wonder how they don't realize there could be cars. People laugh when I say "I guard my energy. " I only have so much in a day and when it's gone, it's gone. I also love coming home to a bed that has been made. That is a gift I have been giving to myself for a long time. Everything else might be in shambles, but that bed welcomes me home every time. Like everyone else I still have stuff to work on. But that bed got made!

My snooze alarm goes off at 6:00 and that was my habit scrolling through my phone. However I do choose to listen to someone positive that how I rediscovered you😂😂😂. All bs aside when I started listening to this cast it was now almost 7:00. Five minutes into the cast I immediately got out bed by 7:30 I was dressed, brushed teeth, made my bed, and a cup of tea. Now it's 7:47 time for journaling, and reading. Long story short I've achieved multiple tasks with the first hour. It has improved my mood and energy. Thank you for keeping it real and doing what you do.

I will have to admit! This is the first thing I saw on my phone (yeah I heard what you said about morning phone habits). I saw this episode drop, saw the title and immediately pressed play. I loved my morning routine and fell out of it when I had taken a long, deserved vacation/PTO time off. I knew my morning routine was key, because of how I felt. Thank you for dropping this particular episode today, on THIS Monday, especially. I’m so grateful to find the episode first thing this morning. I jumped right back in to it because of this very episode, including getting out of bed, immediately. I needed it! ❤ So incredibly grateful!

Speaking of mornings, my husband jokingly called me snooze button queen😲. It's a joke for him but it's true. I admit it and that made me mad at myself because it delays all my work for the day. I'm stay at home mom and working on an amazing business online that I really want to pursue because I've seen how it changed people's life for better. But I do all the chores at home, I don't do plans ahead of time, I do what I can do for the day, plugged in to my business whenever I get a chance because I own my time. But I feel so exhausted almost everyday. Until I started watching your episodes and there are so many topics that relates to me. Now I am on my mission one change at a time. Snooze button is my first to change, NO MORE SNOOZE or else I lose. Self discipline is the key to doing this for me. Thank you for being here motivating people around the world.💞🙌

Hi Mel! I have been following your podcast for over a year now. I especially have found the podcast on "What If It All Works Out" to be especially helpful in getting through tough and unexpected challenges with little less stress and peace and calm. This morning you talked about Morning Routine being significant to life change. I heard you say "you've been putting off making that difficult call." I decided there and then on being brave and making the call I needed to make. I received a positive response thankfully. Thank you Mel! I would like to suggest your writing a book on "What If It All Works Out." Many thanks :)

Instead of listening to a sad "break up" song and ruminating over loss, I decided to listen to this podcast and focus on who I want to be and the new road I am walking!! I'm going to make my bed! Hi Mel, Thank you so much for your free workbook download! I've been thrilled while using it! (Yeah, I'm a thinker. I have over 100 journals!) But I'm being very clear about how to actually DO what I value. What was very powerful to me was asking myself what I wanted in life. I usually plan out clearly what I feel called to do to help others. I have a husband of 40 years, 5 children and 17 grandchildren, so it has been rare that I asked myself this question throughout my life. I need to start living as that better version of myself. I know exactly what that looks like, and it doesn't look like who I am right now. Also, I struggle with guilt often because there never seems to be enough me to go around, with so many people to love and support. I went through the pictures on my phone even though I did not want to. (So many!!) I saw how much I have given of my time and energy to everyone else. No one was left out! I loved well, and I'm proud of myself. If anyone feels left out, that's really their heart issue to deal with. I am just ONE person. I also realized that the best and happiest times I enjoyed last year were times I was alone hiking, kayaking, walking in nature and experiencing silence and hearing and feeling the presence of God. I NEED this!! "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."🙌 Psalm 16:11 These times were powerful and re-energizing! I will now schedule more of this and be intentional this year. God first, myself next, and then I'm my best self for others.💗 Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing this workbook free. I'm getting so much out of it! God bless you!

I thank God that I found you and I appreciate you more than words can even express.

Mel, I have been contemplating on starting my own KZfaq channel now for almost 5 years! Can you believe it?? And over the past couple of years I have gone through so much personal trials and at first, it was so easy to just let control my emotions and who I am becoming. But listening to you, Jay Shetty and even Steven Bartlett, its really changed my way of thinking. I am taking charge of my own life and ""getting serious about my mornings". So I launched my channel yesterday and though its still SUPER SMALL, im so excited. So thank you 😀

Agreed. I used to set multiple alarms just so I could snooze them all. The best thing I ever done was start setting the alarm for the ACTUAL time I need to move so I know when that alarm goes off, I click it off and hop up before my mind even has chance to think about my anxiety or the day ahead....I have created a habit of getting straight in the shower because THAT helps wash the tiredness away. I put the local radio station on my phone whiles in the shower because it makes me feel less bad about having to get up because the music helps wake me up and it also makes me feel like I'm part of the world and I'm not the only one getting up because it can sometimes feel like that. Its helped my mood/productivity immensely ❤

Hi, Mel. I’ve worked night shift for over 20 years. I’m not a morning person. I’m a daytime person now, for the last 2 years. I hit the snooze button most of the time or reset the alarm- knowing I am wasting the day. I have trouble following through w decluttering. I sit around thinking of what I want to do and how. Sometimes I get a morning/ sunny day/ I’m gonna do this today with energy. I’ve made plenty of lists I end up not following, not doing, or throwing away. I’ve had this book called, “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Journal.” Naturally, I’ve had this journal for several years, just now started using it. What I have done, though, is written “Accomplishments,” on the front cover. I write down things I have accomplished, rather than list of things that may be partially or not at all done. It gives me a sense that I am actually doing something when I look back to see what I have written of what I have done. I hope this helps someone besides me. Thank you.

Thanks! I love your podcasts! Especially The Morning Routine… I’m 72 just started on Ozempic under my doctors approval. I watch so many videos then I get so confused Keto Diet..lose tummy, quick weight loss on and on Whole Foods Plant Based ( heart doctor and gastrointestinal doctor both loved when I told him I had been on this especially for heart healthy option, I lost 8 pounds in a month, but I got bored with it EVEN though I love veggies more a whole lot more than meat. Why am I writing you? You said you like to read and I like to vent😂 I’m eatting meat and dairy now and have gained all the weight back plus a few extra. Now I’m focusing on my morning routine to becoming a healthier smaller person . My goal lose 30 pounds but not losing my muscle even though I’m not a big meat eater. Yes I’ve watched a lot of your videos and your Mom is a big inspiration ❤️
