Thanks to the great info of you guys channel and the Lord, I’ve got into shark fishing here in NSW Australia this month, nothing so far for 5 nights and days, definitely been a grind like you guys have gone through but just got to keep at it. The winter time boom or bust. I could talk for hours on the cable vs wire and the winter time fishing. I probably have more quiet nights than anyone lol. I will just say in the winter its more about bait selection and being in the right place at the right time and nobody can figure that out no matter how much they think they can. Keep the videos coming guys. I'm back working and have to live vicariously through videos.

You fish the best you can with all the stuff, weather - bait - tackle- time of day, but all in all the fish eat when they want. Sometimes your not where the action is. Not a big cable fan but with circles it's relatively safe... Also try just 2 feet of wire or even a light, high strength chain, tooth proof and it's only this section that a shark will be able to bite on constantly and could work through cable (yes, even when hooked in the corner of the mouth, especially Makos, move their head quickly enough to the side to bite down on the leader every few seconds and makos have even greater bite force then whites) also if you fish these short sections it is possible to coat it with some type of plastic by hand, takes plenty of work, but possible and if you bring everythin' with you you can do such works on a calm day while fishin', so you don't loose too much time

Sometimes the fish come in and run the shore. Sounds like they were running from the 1 direction or maybe your spot is getting over fished. I heard it was slow besides the two fish in the hr for the guys with the white. Sandbars will eat anything, one sand bar doesnt mean D in my eyes on cable vs wire. We fish them side by side all year. Its like 4 to 1 for tigers on wire vs cable. If you ran really light coated cable Id say maybe but heavy 500 to 1000# cable no difference from wire. I heard titanium cable is the best. Ive never seen it over 240lb though. Its mostly used over seas on pelagics

hey guys- would like to know your opinions for what is should spool up a new penn international 50VSW, will be chasing sharks in the 6-10ft range, mainly tigers, small hammers around 6ft and alot of what we in australia call "whalers" i.e. bronzies, duskies, similar to your blacktip/spinner/sandbar/dusky/copper shark(which is a bronzie) biggest these whalers get is around 300kg and 11ft at the absolute maximum, will be swimming out livebaits such as larger finfish and small sharks/rays, as well as kayaking baits out a moderate distance. There's some coated single strand out there, hard to get but it's there, does the trick but it's still solid.

black coated cable...the sharks have a harder time detecting the metal when they are being finicky.

They do say that sharks can pick up on the metal sending out Very weak signals people have rapped up every thing with electrical tape and had success and people haven't I think it's down to the individual shark and if its on its own or competing for food even with different spieces of shark there they wouldn't have time to think about it

You need to buy a drone that can drop your baits for you
