Do this to Hit Heavy Forehands with Perfect Spin and Power
Want to frustrate your opponent on the tennis court?
Learn how to hit heavy topspin forehands to their backhand.
If you learn how to do this one thing....I see BIG WINS in the near future.
Tennis can be an easy game...give your opponent a heavy dose of what they don't like and you will WIN a lot of matches.
This is what Rafa has been doing for nearly 20 years now.
His heavy forehand creates tons of unforced errors and also sets up short ball winners
In today's tennis tutorial I give you 3 simple steps to add MASSIVE topspin to your forehand

I have been playing tennis since the 1960s, when players were slicing backhands and played an aggressive volley game. I witnessed Ken Rosewall give a clinic at the Dallas Country Club during his tour during the finals of the WCT tour in the 70s, it was about approaching the net and volleying. The first top player who I believe hit with an exaggerated western grip and a stronger top spin shot was Borg. Vilas also had a good a fine top spin baseline shot, but I am uncertain if he used a western grip. What are your thoughts on who were the first players to have initiated western grip/ higher spin baseline shots? Thank you.

I think you nailed it Borg and Vilas...and we know they won a TON of matches by hitting hit and heavy...then Lendl came in and hit hard and heavy

As a southpaw, I love your lefty swing-no need to transcribe to rightyism. I do have a serious question: As a younger player, I competed in 4.0/4.5 team tennis, playing singles and doubles. Now that I am in the senior class, my mobility limits me to doubles. However, I have tried to modernize my swing with a semi-western grip, open stance, adjusted backswing and racquet position. Impeding my progress is my eyesight. There is a huge disparity in acuity between my left and right eye. This causes my hitting balls late bc the saying in your car's sideview mirror "Objects are closer than they appear" describes exactly the issue my vision creates. It also plays trick with certain angles. Corrective lenses only partially fix the problem. I find the modern FH and BH, with its loopiness and and other refinements take more time to prepare, so I am hitting the ball by my shoulder and chest, not in front. I need to buy time, not lose it, but I don't want to give up modernizing my game. Do you have any tips to compensate or should I just perfect my more classical approach and abandon the modern techniques I am trying to develop? Thanks.

Is semi western grip good for low balls in approach and netplay in doubles?
@PeterFreemantennis
@PeterFreemantennis 4 жыл бұрын
No actually the opposite...semi western good for high balls and not good for volley

@@PeterFreemantennis So mixed semi-western and continental for doubles then. I'll have to try that out if I could only get my semi-western to even reach the top of the net.

I call those moon balls. Lol. But, to each his/her own. I’m 6’3” and can hit with plenty of topspin without squatting. In my opinion, It’s more about technique, racquet head speed, using an open string racquet pattern, the way you grip the racquet, type of string, and string tension. So, there are multiple things that go into creating topspin.

Racket, racket string, and even tension doesn’t have as much baring on spin and power as much as companies want you to think.
