Alright, today we're going over a workout that you need to add in once a month if you're serious about growing!
FULL GYM PROGRAM: bit.ly/fullgym...
30 DAY GARAGE PROGRAM: bit.ly/3igtiIF
I like to call it your "White Whale" but to lay it out clearly you're going to pick an exercise and build a single set around it that's impossible to complete. You go in once a month for this set as not looking for growth directly from the workout but as a reminder of the intensity you need to bring to every workout to keep growing!

I've been going to the gym for a while and nothing has been working until I saw one of your videos... "if it's not working change the angle and make sure you feel the contraction" no body ever talks about the contraction they one say "do this and it will work"... Ryan's approach and humor makes things stick (not in a dirty way 😉) Continue to be a legend Ryan!

Awful advice? Really your going to rip into a guy for giving people advice that works... not everyone is the same... he is the only person that says "your body is weird so change it up and make sure you feel a connection" if you don't like his advice thats fine. But its worked for me and I'll support Ryan's channel for that.

@@dakkitoto3467 one of things I've changed is when I do crunches or squats I don't go all the way up, but pause when the tension is the highest and go back down, then doing them to failure has been helping my growth. Look, even if you don't like his advice, I would say that unless your sense of humour is as existent as Ryan's eyelashes, his jokes still make working out enjoyable, and his motivation is undeniable.

reminds me of the quote from the move Gattica, when the guy says about racing his brother swimming. He beats his brother for the first time swimming out and back, and his brother asks, "How did you do that?" And he says, "I only swam to get to the turn around point; I never planned to come back."

I remember me and my training partner in the 80's used to do mad one exercise workouts. One time it was lateral raises. Started with the smallest weight in the gym. High reps and just worked our way up to the heaviest dumbbell and just moved a couple of inches. Then all the way back. The burn was incredible. I remember walking home and my arms were rising. Took a couple of days before the lactic acid pain subsided. Another day we just did legs all afternoon. But I don't like to talk about that. I still have PTSD from it.

Ryan is always teaching me stuff. Century Sets. Never have I done that. Today before the gym I saw this video. So at the gym I did leg day. But I did it Ryan style. I did several exercises and did 100 reps for each. Could I complete 100 reps without a STOP? Nope. Did I fail? Yes. Multiple times. Did I keep going to hit 100? Yes. Am I sore? Yes and no. It’s a different thing so I’m feeling it for sure (for sore! Haha). What you feel is the entire muscle fiber density goes to failure. You feel the whole muscle. It’s a great add. I’m not waiting a month to do it again. I liked it. Ryan is a motivator. Makes me want to do sh_t I never knew about and would never do even if I did know because Ryan gives you that courage to challenge yourself. Good dude. Thanks Ryan!

There is no doubt I am addicted to working out. Started when I was about 15, maybe younger even, and now I am 65 and still love to lift. When there were times I was injured or had some other reason I could not workout I hated it - I would get depressed. I did not like to miss workouts for any reason. Call it selfish or misguided, but my workouts were the number one thing in my life and that was even after I was married had kids and a good job. Now divorced, kids grown and retired...it is still number one. I knew then and still know it today, it has been the one thing to keep me sane and able to do everything else I needed to do in my life. Cannot imagine a time in my life where I will not be working out. Like I tell my friends and family who call me obsessed....they will need to pry the dumbbells from my cold dead hands to bury my ass.

@@Chub2Fit I just did day 4, chest and abs. I have been training (again) for about a year now following mostly beginner and intermediate free programs I found on the internet. After the initial being sore for the first month back in the gym after 15 years (I played 🏈 in college) and never lifted again after that until last October, I haven’t really been getting the greatest connection as of late and felt like I was just going through the motions. But man, to say this program will kick your a&& is an understatement. My biceps and triceps have been sore for 2 days, I have never felt the connection with my delts like these exercises give me, and just the sheer number of reps is mind blowing. I have made sure to finish every one, even if it meant doing 2 at a time at the end of a few of the century sets. Just the way my body feels almost 1 week in, I am so happy I found this program.

@davidmickle3298
@davidmickle3298 2 жыл бұрын
@@gokmenkarci1975 I would say a beginner could do them, however I would think that you may have to make sure the weight is almost nothing or you adjust the reps slightly lower. If you are a “true” beginner, like never lifted before, I would make sure you are doing a lot in your recovery phase, I have lifted off and on for 20 years and I have never been as sore as I was during my 1st week of this program. I saw a major improvement in my muscle endurance by the end and really enjoyed the mental challenge this program demands, there is an exercise where you will do 400 reps in 5 sets on a leg extension, it’s a burn I can’t explain in words… it’s more of a bro split, I heard he is coming out with a PPL program soon, I could be mistaken, but I think the whole purpose of this program is to show a person that you are not training hard enough. No matter who you are, there is no way you will finish every rep in these workouts, but I think that’s the point.

I am a recovering Alcoholic/opiate addict who got back into high Intensity work outs as a new addiction, a "healthy" addiction if you will. This is why all GOOD rehabs have a physical fitness component to them. The science backs this theory up. People who sort of migrate their addictions tend to do better than those do not modify their diet and rarely exercise. And they are usually disabled by age 45-50 because of this. But they will not tell you that. They will tell you a whole story about how hard working they were before their disc slipped out of alignment or whatever.

@@c.odubhlaoich2948 He overtrains. He doesn't train for hypertrophy. He trains for endurance. And he doesn't eat a high protein diet. Just like running. If you are a sprinter, you can be very muscular. If you are a marathon runner, you can't. You burn through your muscle. Your body burns through carbs for energy, then fat, and if you're still going, then it burns muscle. Building muscle is the art and science of less is more. Short, intense, powerful routines build muscle in just a few minutes, if you allow the muscle to recover, and you eat your protein. Training for several hours a day destroys muscle.

Stop reading comments and buy his workout program. They are some of the best workouts I’ve ever done, and this is coming from someone who has worked out for 30 years and was a personal trainer at Golds Gym. There are exercises that I have never even done before! It’s only $20 people!

I love that quote though because my sister once asked me why I had a deathwish after I went skydiving. I told her straight to her face, "I don't have a deathwish, I have a life wish." She kind of gave me a puzzling look but I didn't explain any further.
