I'm 75 years old and have been on Carnivore for 4 weeks now. NEVER was a "junk food junkie". I never ate at fast food places and rarely even at restaurants. Ate mostly fish (one can of sardines or wild caught salmon per day) plus fruits and vegetables and "Nourish Bread". A year and a half ago I started noticing pain in one knee. The pain then progressed to the other knee as well. I finally could no longer climb stairs which I ALWAYS felt good about, rather than taking the elevators. NOW, after only 4 weeks on carnivore, I have NO pain at all in my knees and am back to climbing stairs! (btw, I DO know the correct way of climbing stairs). What I really LOVE about my new lifestyle is the utter SIMPLICITY of it all!! I could talk endlessly about this aspect of being a strict Carnivore. This is why I LOVE listening to Dr Chaffee.

Well...that is the crux of the "big lie" biscuit that WE'VE ALL BEEN FED.. Consuming foods that were supposedly good for us.. THEY WERE NOT.. These sleaz bags (Big Pharma and their scummy associates) Knew this long ago..but there was no money in allowing us to eat correctly/specie appropriate food.. but there would be billions, if not trillions, of $$ to be made if they could blow purple smoke up the skirts of most humans and get them to eat garbage foods that would over time DESTROY THEIR HEALTH... Well.. I'd say they've accomplished most of their goal.. America most definitley has an obestity problem like no tomorrow.. huge numbers of people are in an endless cycle of Dr visisits. pharmacy prescriptions.. sick all the time, lathargic, tired, and obese by 30+ pounds. They knew by the time everyone hit around 40 years of age.. a lot of the damage would set in .. They are (silent) big supporters of all these vegan idiots, and activists that think cows should be eliminated, and chickens spread flu to cows.. you know the bs drill they're spewing.THEIR GAME IS TO PROMOTE FREAKING LIES AND TO CONTROL YOU AND DESTROY YOUR HEALTH. 😉

Yea dude you can be that sick with a six pack, most people don’t know there are 3 layers of fat and the most crucial to get rid of (the rest follow) is visceral fat, fat around your organs you can’t even see which carbs contribute to, they build up visceral fat and cause all of our modern day diseases, look into sprinting as your main source of exercise and thank me later, also bodybuilding is not natural so to put on that size you need more and more food which is just bad for your body, all those carbs because you think you get a benefit at the gym when In reality it’s just you holding more water and storing glycogen in your muscles giving you a little more leverage, not strength and not gains

Dr. Chaffee, you’ve saved both my knees, cleared my facial rashes and reversed my pre-diabetes and it’s only been three weeks on a carnivore diet. Two weeks before diving dead turkey on this diet my ortho surgeon suggested total replacement for both knees which are bone on bone on top of osteoarthritis. I bumped into a KZfaq podcast of this diet and here I am today, running like a 40 year old, doing kickboxing, cycling, gardening and playing pickleball. My husband lost 10lbs in three weeks and his blood pressure is now 112/72 today. He has arrhythmia from a virus in January as well as Hashimoto. Btw, I am 70 years old and hubby is 74. This diet is life transforming. Thank you so much for all your work. 🙏🙏🙏

It got to the point i was eating a big tub a day of "Greek style yoghurt ". My weight loss plateaued, and I now have to cut it out completely. I cant do moderation. The sugar has a way to claw you back if you let it. Its powerfully addictive.

Yes, it has. Glad your doing well & you've cured your illnesses. I am loving the variety of adding dairy while doing carnivore but I manage to do it in moderation. I love the greek yoghurt with some meals, but I don't do too much. The problem with some things is that it's hard to just have a small amount without wanting to have more, which ends up sabotaging your results. It's the addictions to some of the foods that get you. But when you get healthy, it's enough to keep you from going back to carbs & getting sick again.

I started keto two years ago and a year carnivore now, too many improvements to mention, but I went standard for a week to see, inflammation started up again, sore joints, pollen started to bother, bug bites, got more and they became inflamed, frontal lobe pressure, tooth pain, constipation, bloating… crazy how fast it came back, I guess my tolerance is really low now. On keto I lost 100 lb, and my heart improved, from cardiomyopathy, but I still had swelling , and skin rash. I went carnivore after seeing one of you videos, plants are trying to kill you,now I’m mainly beef, still high fat dairy occasionally, too much, but my heart is beating strong and regular and no edema, rash is gone and no pain, it’s like I’m floating now. I’m glad I found you, as well as the many other good carnivore drs,I subscribe too. My sisters, a doctor and a nurse thought you were hot, but they don’t believe it,unless it’s in a medical journal, they’re not really picking up on what I’m putting down. For instance chocolate is poisonous to dogs and could kill them, but in small enough amounts, nothing happens, or nothing looks like is happening. My aunt gave her dog a piece of chocolate everyday for 12 years. Unfortunately, the dog, whose life expectancy was up to 16, died at 12 blind and deaf and who knows what else he had. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That's what I tell ppl when they tell me they don't care to live longer. I tell them I'm not saying anything about living longer, but what quality of life do you want? Want to be in chronic aches and pains and in diapers amd wheelchairs or walker? Or do you want to die independent and able to care for yourself?

Bacon, eggs, and beef with grass-fed butter, day after day. It's so simple! I'll be eating like this for the rest of my life. I can't believe how quickly I'm in and out of the supermarket and how much it costs to feed myself. I'm in Australia, and it costs me about $120 to feed myself for two weeks. This is with just eating mince with butter, bacon, eggs, and water! I only wish I had started this earlier. When I was on a high-carb diet, I would easily spend over $100 on food for just one week! On top of that, I had a heap of issues with dry skin and back pain. Now, I have zero issues with back pain, and my dry skin problems are basically non-existent! We have been lied to about carbs! People have prioritized making profits over people's health, and it's now time for us to wake up and let these people know we are not interested in ruining our health just so they can make some money! The amount of steroid creams and pills I've been able to get rid of is insane! My doctor is shocked at how much I've improved, and it's all because I dropped all the garbage from my diet!

This is a very interesting question. Do we "need" sugar? Absolutely not, but I find having some real ice cream with cane sugar does not effect my health. I don't gain weight. I don't have any reactions like I do with leaves and other plant foods. I even notice it makes me feel good the next days ahead, but I don't do this but once or twice a month. It's now something I can look forward in having every 3 weeks or so. I'm even wondering if it's not a healthy thing to make my pancreas do it's job. "Weight is a secondary outcome. The primary outcome is your health." This is absolutely paramount to understanding carnivore, and being healthy in general. My old A&P professor used to teach that too. So many people are caught up in the weight, the number of pounds they weigh on the scale. Granted, that does come with health concerns, but the weight will sort itself out when you are being healthy. Not to be confused with the equally destructive "body positivity" movement, but people need to stop focusing on the weight and focus on being healthy.

12-13 months into carnivore. Started in the 290’s and now down to 210lb approximately. My diet transformed from eating meat/dairy when hungry to eating once or twice a day at most. My only gripe about Carnivore is that I developed bouts of arrhythmia/heart palpitations. I’m not sure how low carb or zero carb directly affects heart health but it’s definitely a weird and concerning symptom. Other than that, feel great, tons of energy, work out twice a day most days.

Carnivore for 2 months. DR. Chaffee has talked about his time working 80 hour weeks and feeling “fine” the whole time, and I just wanted to share a similar experience. I am doing more now and being more productive than I ever could have before. I do get great sleep but on the occasional night where I don’t I can keep the pace of the day and be “just fine.”Yesterday I woke at 3 am and couldn’t fall back to sleep, so I got up and started my workday (grading papers) at 4am. I then went to work at a coffee shop at 8am-1:30pm, took a lunch (eggies + bakey) and continued working on grading for the next 3 hours. I then picked up my son and took him to a kids party where I was able to be social and normal with the other parents for several hours. Then I came home and cooked us some steaks and watched part of a movie, before my partner agreed to put him to bed so I could go to bed earlierier than usual (bless). I then woke up today after a fantastic night of sleep and feel fully refreshed and started working again on grading at 6:30am. I would never be able to have this level of sustained focus and energy all the while maintaining a positive and upbeat mood with my old way of eating. I see my peers struggling to stay alert and complaining about being tired while I can just keep on keeping on. It’s things like this that make people say they feel superhuman. I carry on with this level of busyness most of the time and it has been probably the period of highest productivity with lowest stress of my life. That’s only one benefit of the carnivore diet Ive noticed. ❤

I just follow an intuitive approach. When i feel my body is hungry, i eat. When it starts to not taste good, i stop. Generally, this works out to 1 meal a day, but occasionally 2. Once you figure out when you are genuinely hungry, it becomes easy to know when to eat and, by extension, when to stop. When im eating my plate, and it starts to not taste great, i just stop, even if I've only got 1 bite left.

i was doing carnivore but added one apple before workout for an extra bit of blood sugar. this gave me a nice jolt of energy. however it ran out rather quickly and more than once i couldn't finish my workout before i started feeling sick. my guess is what the sugar did was spike insulin, which blocked fat from being metabolized and when the sugar from the apple was gone i just ran dry and basically di*d. i've had better workouts in the morning, on an empty stomach. so no, for me sugar is absolutely counterproductive. sugar is synthesized by the body as needed. eating it directly just confuses the hell out of your body and takes away regulatory control.

Exactly. Most 1800 century data is false and completely fabricated. They put a lot of zeroes in the average death age, that makes the number low, but saying that anyone that did not die at birth in the middle ages would die at 30 is STUPID. If you look for medieval historical figures, like Charlemagne, Leonardo Da Vinci, Kings, Priests, Artists, etc, most of them died between 60 and 80, some into the 90's, same as today. The social status or job does not matter because food and health was the same for everyone.

If one thinks of this then you have the answer: When you consume sugar, why would your body want lower it very fast and get rid of it (hence, activating the pancreas and releasing insulin) if it's really needed?
@reginamemoriesforever-vc8ql
@reginamemoriesforever-vc8ql 10 күн бұрын
sugar is a very active substance; all substances that albeit needed, are very active, the body has mechanisms to handle them quickly. It happens with all active substances, not just sugar. I ll give you an example, adrenaline . The body needs adrenaline (and for that matter, cortisol). The body produces it and has mechanisms to lower it quickly. Same thing for GLP1. Naturally produced GLP1 has a very short half life; but the glp1 of ozempic? 5 days or so. The body knows what to do with each NATURAL substance. Long story short, it’s not because it’s “bad”, it’s because it’s 1) natural 2)very active. For example, arsenic or other poisons, they are very active but, because they are unnatural to the body, the body has no specific mechanisms to quickly get rid of them. Sugar in moderation is not going to kill anyone. The body knows exactly what to do with sugar. The key is moderation!
@GuitarNewz
@GuitarNewz 8 күн бұрын
@@reginamemoriesforever-vc8qlit's true, but the mechanisms shouldn't be tortured on a chronic basis, or not much at all. The less your body is busy with these things the more it can heal. Of course if a bear is after you, you must run away, so stress n all that stuff is pumped n dumped. But running away from a bear every day, 45min-2h is very bad (aka sporting).

We can also detox from accidental poison exposure or consumption like mercury from fish or fluoride from tap water or alcohol, but it doesn't mean we should try to consume these things everyday just because we have the ability to detox from them... Your body is trying to help you regulate your blood sugar by producing insulin and removing the sugar from your blood because it harms the blood vessels.

@OP-lk4tw
@OP-lk4tw 13 күн бұрын
i think it's, there's a reason we crave it, it's one of our fuel sources, ketones and glucose (fat and carbs/sugar), our anscestors would prob eat everything they could get their hands on to get energy, the thing is the fruits were local and stationary, and they had to move a lot to get them, not 2 blocks to the nearest grocery store. in winter or different periods they'd probably have less carbs and enter into ketosis and burn the reserves, so it's context dependent. we crave it as much as fat because it literally saved us countless times, now fruits are geneticslly modified to be sweeter and we have all fruits of the year from all parts of the world, so it's quite a different dilemma. not to speak of ultraprocessed foods

Sugar is the salesman that persuades you to eat poisons like cocoa and other poisons which are not food. Sugar also is not food but for some reason we have a sweet taste on our pallet. Regarding the actual question - our bodies DO NOT EXPECT to be given anything that is not food and iut will process everything you ingest in the same way. Only when it senses poison will you get a bad stomach, diarrhoea etc. but if you consume the poison on a regular basis the body adapts to lessen the negative effects although you are still poisoning the body. To metabolise is not a real thing, we simply attempt to digest anything that is introduced into the system.

no veg. for dogs they need meat !!! buy some inexpensive meat for them heat it up -cut it in pieces --regular dog food has some meat -but has grains ----the grains glycate the meat and they get advanced glycation end products which WILL cut their live span in half !!!

@@user-dg2yf9hw2w My mother's dog doesn't eat grains. He gets fresh meat together with various vegetables, often salad vegetables. He eats the vegetables first (picks them out), followed by the meat.

The answer to the first question is that Humans in Nature DO eat quite a bit of Sugar because in Nature we eat RAW Meat and RAW Organs, which have carbohydrates. So, it is natural and HEALTHY to eat Sugar BUT ONLY from those sources.

What happens then to the carbs when the meats and organs are cooked? They disappear?!!

@@abraham802 The ketogenic diet is being used to treat many mental health disorders. I feel like carnivore falls under that umbrella. Not all carnivores are as strict. Some eat berries and fruit, like Dr. Saladino, but he also burns those carbs every day with surfing for two hours. Most people aren't that active.

I’ve listened to MULTIPLE podcasts on this. Our body has the equivalent of 5 teaspoons of glucose circulating in the blood and is able to produce that much on its own from being fed proper nutrients. Anything above that being inserted from our food is not needed.
