Sadie celebrates her 100th episode of "WHOA That's Good" by announcing her new book, "Who Are You Following?" With her special, in-person guests, she speaks about pressing past your past, how to become who you are when everyone knows who you used to be, and choosing a word to declare over your mistakes. The enemy tries to make you feel defined by your past mistakes, but the Word of God says differently. Sadie's new book, "Who Are You Following?," releases February 1, 2022 and is now available on presale.

This message really spoke to me. A year ago I dedicated myself to God. I had been saved since I was eight, but never fully committed. I tried, but Satan always had ahold of me somehow. When I was a younger teenager it was depression, physical illness, mental/emotional abuse, and self-hatred. Then when I got older it was all those things combined with sexual immorality. A month after I gave my life completely to God and was absolutely done with everything in my past, I found out I was pregnant. Carrying a child conceived out of wedlock is a constant reminder of the sin I was living in, but the Lord works in mysterious ways and turns out my baby is exactly what I need to keep me close to Him. Every time I look at my kiddo, I think about how precious and perfect he is and I'm reminded that God doesn't make mistakes. And He didn't make a mistake with me. I'm not longer that girl I was, I don't know her anymore, I don't claim her. I am a woman of God, renewed by Him and made to live my life by His design. That's the person I claim. If God can turn a murderer into one of the greatest preachers to ever exist, there's no telling what He can do with me, and I'm so excited to see what He holds for my future.

Sadie thank you so much for keeping the ending conversation in the podcast. I am someone who has struggled with a porn addiction and only a handful of people know. Hearing that my ministry starts by sharing that problem is intimidating and I struggle with other people's opinions of me. I am going to pray more for strength in sharing. Again thank you!

It’s like child 1 convinces child 2 to do something wrong. And they do it. Now they both stand before their dad. Child 2 feels shame and conviction, but decides to break down and repent before their Dad. The Dad sees their heart and forgives them instantly of their mistake while explaining why it was wrong. It’s done. Now child 2 and the Dad both look at child 1 who’s not sorry and doesn’t repent and is angry that child 1 told on him. Child 1 is NOT excused from punishment. It’s like that with us. When we repent and expose our mistakes, it breaks the stronghold of shame in our lives. The enemy is a coward and hides from God and the Light of exposure. Remind him that he’s not your leader anymore by exposing what he led you to do, how he tried to trap you to get you to be like him, and how Jesus laughed and pursued you anyway.

Though our stories are a bit different, I just wanted to let you know, I understand first hand how intimidating it can be to have to share something so personal and heavy. It can feel like a huge roadblock in the way of you beginning your ministry. But I promise when the time is right, God will give you the courage and the strength to tell people. And that doesn’t mean your heart won’t be racing and you won’t be shaking in fear, but you will have a trust in the Lord that’s greater than all the fear and anxiety. Courage isn’t the absence of fear, but pressing forward in spite of it. I would suggest praying that He would reveal to you the person/people He wants you to share this with, and then that He would provide the time for you to tell them + soften their hearts to the message. Also, if it’s too difficult to talk to the person face to face, you could write them a letter or talk about it over text message. By all means though, I will keep you in my prayers. 🤍

Don't give people weapons to use against you. Be safe. Share carefully. Wait until you're strong enough. You're on the right track with God. He will guide you when it's time to share. I'm old. Trust me, everyone has stuff they have done that they worry about. Everyone. If anyone gives you guff, remember that you're never alone. Chin up, shoulders back and don't let the bad guys see you cry. It feeds them.

This message has spoken deeply to me today. I am currently going through some things that made this word very specific to my struggle. Being a Christian my whole 40+ years of life, stepping out of a dry place spiritually has really taught me many valuable lessons about who I am and how I believe in the amazing redemptive grace and mercy of Jesus. I have been studying breaking up the 'fallow ground' and what that truly means. I feel like that is perfect for my life right now. Because the fallow ground is left unused to rest and regenerate so that it can be planted with good seeds to grow deeper and produce much greater. Through your devotions, along with other random studying, I am gleaning much from the truth and Word of God spoken. Thank you! And may God richly bless the ministry through you.

My church's lesson last week was that you can't live your life in regret of the things you've done in the past. This is basically the same lesson and such a good one to. Let your past go and stop living in regret you'll be so much better after that

Back then, I have failed a lot to God just by hurting myself, thinking I'm not worth it because of what I've been through, little or big things, never noticing what God has promised me. Now I know that true love and forgiveness come from God and Jesus. Sadie, after watching this video, I have reflected on how to forgive myself in God's name. I love myself because God loves me. You are beloved my brother and sister, never forget that. The past doesn't define who you are. Even God said that Jesus lives and will live forever and ever. Jesus has never let the past define him (his death define him) so you can have spiritual freedom like him, and not evilness and lies within you. Amen! May God bless you all, thank you for your presence.

Please do this again! I love open group conversations like these, it's rare that people are so open. If you need any suggestions on topics, abuse is a good one that isn't talked about in the church. Parental and spousal abuse leave such psychological trauma and victims often feel that because they made a commitment they have to endure the abuse forever. May God bless you for leading women in their spiritual journey.

The fact that someone at least 10 years younger than me has 10 times more spiritual knowledge than I do really shows I have more work to do. I have a PAST. Failed marriage, promiscuity, drinking, PTSD, etc. Was in therapy for years on and off. Recently remarried 2 years ago to a wonderful Godly man, have a beautiful 14 month old daughter, currently pregnant with our second child. My past has brought a lot of insecurities in me that have affected my current marriage and have kind of made me hate myself and define myself through my past. Thank you for everything you had to say about redemption and getting heavy with scripture about Peter. I love Peter's story so much and love Paul's story about Christ's unconditional love for them. So many tears right now and so many other feels. If you or someone reads my post can u please pray for me? Also for my husband and my daughter as they watch a momma struggle with anxiety? Would also love if you could reference those scripture passages that you went through in this video. I would really like to go back and read those. Again thank you so much 🥰

That was really speaking to me I struggle with this problem daily I had a wilder past I did a lot of things I’m not proud of and Imon top of that I’m 7 years clean and sober today but when I pray and go to church I sometimes feel I don’t deserve gods love or to be forgiven because sometimes I don’t fully forgive myself for what I did to myself and the pain I put my family through so it hurts and it’s hard cuz I think about it everyday some days are better but it’s nice to hear it spoken and discussed about because it’s sad even at church where it shouldn’t happen I get judged so get dirty looks from people I used to know in that old life as the parties wild guy and it sick because if they only knew who I was now but that’s the struggle and my journey of self forgiveness and thank you saddie for talking about this it really hit me
