Handy tip for you when cutting things such as Turkish delite soft cheeses cakes coated in a soft cream icing or anything soft like paté or even a salmon taurine mouse anything soft and sticky, heres a tip stand the blade of the knife in a jug of boiled water the heat of the blade will then prevent the food sticking which helps keeping the desired shape of the finished item also after a few cuts dip the blade in the hot water again so there is no build up of cooling food on the blade which is likely to start sticking the blade to the food your cutting...a little trick I used when I was a chef for many years hope you find it useful hun 💜

I just made this because I thought it looked simple and delicious... well, the ingredients are simple but it does take a LONG time for it to go from liquid to the final sticky mass we're looking for. And they're not kidding when they say stir THE WHOLE TIME, I probably stirred for a good 40+ minutes to get the final product. If you stop stirring even 10 seconds it will form clumps. Anyway the final product was really good :)

I would love to try this recipe with various pure fruit juices like: strawberry, melon, guava, coconut. One could easily juice them in a juicer (if they have one). For the sweeter fruit one could add a splash of lemon or lime juice. And this way you could have an array of colors on the serving plate. Yum!

3:31 , Masghati is a soft, Jelly-like sweet made mostly in southern parts of Iran. This sweet is made with slight changes in ingredients and recipes in different regions of Iran but the basic recipe is more or less the same. The main ingredient of Masghati is starch which gives the sweet its jelly form. Saffron, rosewater, and nuts are other ingredients that give this sweet the special taste of it.

Before you juice citrus. Try popping the fruit (cut in half) in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. I do this with grapefruit. It makes the little pulp sacs burst (same way an egg yolk explodes if not pierced). Much juicier. So easier to extract all the juice.

This is giving me ideas now. I think you could easily adapt this recipe to other flavors by changing up the fruit. You could use lemon, lime or a combo of them for an easy change. But I think I could do it with any fruit I can get juice out of (macerate your berries for lots of juice) and leave out the zest (though the flavor wouldn't be as intense). OR, you could make a combo flavor by using another fruit (like strawberry) for the juice and use lemon or lime zest. Then you'd have lemon-strawberry or strawberry-lime candy. OR, skip the citrus zest and instead use ginger, clove, cardamom and cinnamon which taste amazing with strawberry.😋🤤 Today, though, I'm working on making a cook-and-serve strawberry pudding. Not gonna be easy since I don't have a machine to help make the puree but it should be fun.

Anjalena- to purée a strawberry without a food processor: Remove the stems, place the strawberries in a bowl, micro wave (1min should do), then use a spatula and push the berries thru a sieve. This will remove the seeds and give a nice texture to the berry pulp. (Speed it up by using a fork to mash the berry before sieve)

@Anjalena 2 жыл бұрын
@@dericksmith2137 Thank you for the help. That's basically what I ended up doing but instead of microwaving the berries, I put them in a pot with some sugar and made strawberry syrup. Then I filtered it through a strainer like you said. Great minds think alike, eh? 😊💕

@@zzoldd I don't really agree with the above poster inappropriately posting here, but I have to jump in here. Jesus never spoke of the usual way we die as "death", but "sleep". It is the second death that is real death. Forever obliterated - not being shoved in eternal flames as the Greeks believed, and the Catholic church adopted. And while there are warnings in the bible about the consequences, people are asked to learn about and communicate with Jesus and during the process, they will be changed. His love and willingness to demean himself to demonstrate that God's law could be obeyed by a man, refuted Satan's lies, and because he suffered the guilt and punishment of every human in our place, we can each accept that gift as if we had lived that perfect life, and allow him to change us. So the first death we experience is not the death the bible speaks about being the wages of sin. It is the second death.
