Our Constitution did not give the status of national language to any one language. Hindi was identified as the official language. But Hindi is the mother tongue of only about 40 per cent of Indians. Therefore, there were many safeguards to protect other languages.

Bro, hindi is a medium of language . Just to understand and connect person to person. To communicate another person who doesn't known to my language then I could use hindi with him. That's the reason he said hind. Yes, we Indians have many languages where we speak many language .but , i you go to Punjab and u don't know Punjabi then you can communicate that person in Hindi .

the misconception of Indians thinking that Hindi is the national language of India is WRONG! India does not have a national language. He should have mentioned like people in india speak different languages. Totally above 29 or 20 whatever the count is, Instead of saying India language is hindi. Then Let him mention india language is Tamil. How does it feel? I hate spreading false info
