I visited this beauty in jan 2021.This beauty has a lots of secret in it.I was not a able to go in but from outside i watched this,it has just a unbroken relation with Surya Bhagwan.

The seven horses represent the spitting of light into VIBGYOR .. our architects , our scientists knew this back then!! What an amazing , depth of knowledge. Because , Sanatana dharma calendar doesn’t necessarily have the 7 days priority , which is more with the solar calendar ! I may be wrong . Shout out to Praveen Mohan... he explains very beautifully in his video on Konarak!!

कोनार्क का यह सूर्य मंदिर काफी अदभुत है। लोग केवल मंदिर में बनी कुछ नंगी मूर्तियों को देख कर ही इस मंदिर के बारे में ग़लत राय देते हैं, इन मूर्तियों के द्वारा शायद यह समझानै कोशिश किया गया है कि वासना से मुक्त हुए बिना कोई ध्यान को उपलब्ध नहीं हो सकता। यह काफी रहस्य पूर्ण मूर्तियां हैं। चाहे जो हो यह एक अद्भुत कलात्मक स्मारक है।

Odisha festival should be celebrated for 1 month in January in each district

7 horses do not signify 7 days of a week. It signify 7 different colours that comes out from sunray. Because locals say those seven horses was coloured beautifully with seven different colours manu centuries ago. That's why it's called sun temple.
