That was very interesting and thank you for sharing your art journey. I was shocked by your Covid experience. I hope you’re completely recovered now and also that your hip treatment works well.

@@ckoivumaa Thanks for replying Christian. I have learned so much in the last 6 years. Ive learned all the techniques and my my results are competent, sometimes good - especially when I do your challenges. What’s missing? Vision, imagination and the ability to interpret a reference and not copy it. Your hours of production every day means you have all these elements. I wish you all the best in your career.

Excellent video about the reality of a full time watercolour artist. I enjoyed hearing about how you organise your day/week to accomplish so much. When you broke down all the different jobs that you do it sounds very busy! What a wonderful career. I am so happy you shared this information thankyou.

Congratulations Christian, you are not only a fighter, a survivor and a creative person, but you do this all with a smile and take each day as it comes. It's inspiring to hear how adversity brought you to a new place in life, one where you're pretty much discovering new ways of doing things. I'm sure none of this has been easy for you, but the "warrior spirit" you developed in Karate, seems to be within you still. The steely determination is tempered with the softness and gentleness of your manner. Long may you continue producing art that you love and that many others can enjoy through your various output channels.

I really enjoyed this Q&A. I liked finding out a little bit more about you, human connection is so important in a world dominated by digital distancing, so that was lovely. I also enjoyed finding out a bit about what it takes to be a full time artist these days. Your art is beautiful.

That was so interesting ! I had to give up Karate and next sport passion embracing something that is so different like painting or photography but like you said there's something in common - all those things are arts though the competition element is placed differently. In fact you are the person who encouraged me to paint bigger works with more confidence and I want to say big thank you for that ! Stay happy !

Thanks for the interesting video. I want to know how many paintings you do a month and how many will be sold by the gallery within the same time. I just started trying things out with watercolor and know that I can´t keep all my paintings, so would like to sell them as a little income when I will be retired in a few years. Do you use any varnish on your paintings? I´m not sure if there is any usable spray for preventing watercolor paints. Best wishes for your career.

It depends on the motifs. A big and detailed painting can take a month to complete but I’d say I’m painting 4-10 paintings a month in average. Some of those are demos or studies. Sales goes up and down and it all depends on the venue and timing. If you can’t find the right customers you’re not going to sell as well. Nope, no varnish.
