I’m not going to lie, I used to enjoy “Back at the Barnyard”, and laughed at it a lot. As I got older, I finally saw the shows flaws. However, there’s just some moments where I can’t even get mad at it. I mean, who remembers the Pig-Hulk scene? The show will always be a guilty pleasure to me.

60fps uncanny valley aside (actual H*R toons are a relaxingly janky 12fps), he nailed the surrealist humor and had a surprisingly accurate imitation of their voices.

I watched ALL of these! I even recently shared a Dave the Barbarian screenshot set mentioning its humor is like a defunct DnD group WAY before that kinda humor was catching on mainstream lol. LOVED these (mostly) and want even more vids of this series to revel in this very niche nostalgic joy.

I got into Homestar Runner almost 2 years before their sudden 4 year hiatus in 2009, so I unfortunately hopped into the game a little bit late. Regardless, it still ended up playing a massive part of my childhood as well, and it's solely responsible for shaping both my sense of humor and my vocabulary. Also, it's impressive how on point your fanmade sbemail was!

“Barnyard” was more like “The Lion King” with farm animals. Here’s a plot synopsis: A male leader hands the throne over to his son. This causes problems, and the heir has to fight a horde of enemies to save his home. And the main character has a child in the end. Similar hu’h?

Ah yea, happy tree friends... I keep humming the intro today for some reason. ANd whenever i do, i remember all the many ways the squirrels died and just wish my head to turn off for 2 minutes. Man, it's been years since I seen Dave the Barbarian and Barnyard. The best joke I can remember from Barnyard was when, a duck was visiting and everyone hated him. I think the dog got into a fight with him, they got out of control. Otis, Peck, Peck and the ferret got roped in and that fight last like 5 years in seconds written on a time card. It's rare when a show gets me to laugh so hard I was crying.

The 2000s had pretty good cartoons on Disney like The Emperor's New School, Lilo & Stitch the Series, House of Mouse (a Disney crossover in a nightclub setting, like how can you NOT like that?), Kim Possible, Brandy & Mr Whiskers, and American Dragon: Jake Long. Netflix cartoons are wonderful. Glitch Techs, Kipo, She-Ra, Voltron, The Last Kids on Earth, and Carmen Sandiego are my favorites. Most of the Dreamworks cartoons on Netflix are great.

i watched ALOT of dave the barbarian as a kid, and i remember *hearing* of homestar runner but i didn't have internet at home till like, 2006, and then kept forgetting to watch it

What’s funny is, legendary voice actor rob paulson was the voice in butt-ugly martians, his IMDb credit has four characters. He’s also been in almost every cartoon featured here. For context, he played Carl wheezer. I instantly recognized him

So, I played Tak and the Staff of Dreams all the time on my Xbox, and I was so psyched to watch the show. BUT I was camping with my family the weekend it was first airing, so I had my parents record it on our DVR so I could watch it when we went home.

I enjoyed the random chaos that was back at the barnyard. It was one of those shows that you didn’t have to really follow a solid story line. As for the movie, I cry at the ending every time. Sam Elliot singing “Won’t Back Down” as his character gets mauled to death for me is the equivalent of Uncle Irohs “Leaves From the Vine” from Avatar The Last Airbender.

I definitely miss Homestar Runner, and Dave the Barbarian. Edit. Not enough people know about Homestar Runner? Heck, even Jaiden Animations has a reference to them in her video about how she was obsessed with having various animals as pets.

Oh, I remember Dave The Barbarian, Danny Cooksey, the voice of Dave was a favorite character of mine Jack Spicer, from Xiaolin Showdown. And am I the only one who still loves Butt Ugly Martians? Also, does anyone notice how many Nick shows Rob Paulson was on? He played the chicken in Back To The Barnyard, Carl Wheezer in Jimmy Neutron, Box Ghost in Danny Phantom, Mark Chang in Fairly Odd Parents, 2T Frutti in Butt Ugly Martians.....Etc

My favorite Homestar Runner cartoons currently running on KZfaq are this one where Homestar opens a donut stand, and has to compete with Bubs for the 3:09 Donut Rush, and the other one contemplating the demise of Flash as an effective way to make animations for the web. My favorite SBemail is the one where they film Senor Cardgage's character video and it turns out to be cursed. Homestar Runner is the best animatied cartoon on the web.

Recognized all from thumbnail, Dave The Barbarian, remembered all but Tak. Butt Ugly Martians was my favorite for its run, for some reason. I remember days constantly trying to watch all the Homestar Runner videos.

Does anyone remember "Ahh! Real Monsters"?? One character used to hold his eye balls in his hands. Barnyard was a fever dream, tbh.

I remember it, even if I didn't watch it. They even got a video game made of Ahh! Real Monsters. The guy who had eyeballs he held in his hands is based off of a real folklore monster if I'm remembering right.

I remember Dave the Barbarian reruns being on the channel Toon Disney, which became Jetix at night, and I remember Back at the Barnyard being on Nicktoons all the time and I still have the Pablo the Happy Unicorn Song stuck in my head from that show. I also remember Tak and the Power of JuJu, I even had a Mcdonald's toy with a rubbery expanding chest.
