I think tinyurls were part of the IT outage from the other day. Seems to be working now? But here's the full link- www.rebelunicorncrafts.com/product-page/bonus-bundle-travel-edition-starter-watercolor-set-and-two-woneder-brushes

Even though I don't need information this basic I am so glad that you are breaking it down so completely. Art & creative practices should be available to everyone interested, but sometimes it's made way too pretentious and scares people away. Thank you for everything you do to share the love of creating! 🥰

Yes, I definitely want it to feel accessible to all! No pretentiousness here 😊

I've been painting with watercolor for 65 years (I'm 70now). Still can't paint. But love to keep painting. Thank you Lacey

But you *are* painting! Allow it to be fun, don't expect perfection, and just make what you like. That is what real art is truly about. Also, consider cutting some of your art into trading cards and swapping with other artists. I would love to get one from you. ❤

Give yourself more grace! As long as you're enjoying it and having fun along the way, sounds like successful painting to me!

Don't judge your work by others. Some have been painting for way longer than we have! I can claim to have been learning to paint with acrylics, but I stopped after 3 yrs to dapple in other media. And I've been learning watercolor for three years now, but I tend to watch more than actually put the paint on my brush then get it onto the paper. I need more action than inaction... we've got this, right!?

I'm 71 ... sounds like you're having fun! What do you like to paint??? What colors do you love using??? I've only been at this a couple years and have taken a break for 18 months! However, I'm always watching watercolor artists!!! ❤ Thank you for sharing! 😊

You have taught me a lot about watercolor. Enough that I'm going to start experimenting with it. I appreciate all your videos. I know it's hard work to make, edit, and upload. You should start a paid membership and do paint alongs or something or that sort. I'm sure there would be a lot of us willing to join and enjoy it.

I'm so glad you're experimenting and painting!! And I actually just posted a community blog entry about my Patreon about an hour ago. We do a live paint along once a month, plus some other perks 😊www.youtube.com/@RebelUnicornCrafts/community

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lacey's Unicorn 18 palette! Every color is fun named (and darned accurate) and the paints are top notch. She makes them herself and they are worth every penny I paid! Beautiful paints!

Thank you for the kind words. The Unicorn Food Palettes (12 and 18 ct) I actually have manufactured for me, but I hand selected each color after lots of trial and tweaks. I do make the handmade special and limited edition palettes/individual colors on my site though.

@@RebelUnicornCrafts They are gorgeous paints and it's such a treat to paint with them. I created 2 closet hangers filled with swatch "kitties," cookie cutter cats I painted, then put all of their info on each colored kitty. I did that to many many palettes in my art closet, and have quite the collection on these 2 hangers! Yours is first, however, on the hanger, and look happy and colorful, Lacey! I almost expect them to smell like their names! :)

I like to let the pallet dry instead of cleaning it off so I have premixed colors for next time it helps cut down on mixing time

@@RebelUnicornCraftsNo it’s KZfaq, you can’t share links in “Shorts” anymore. It’s been this way now for a few months. I just don’t know why they stopped it, I only know that they did. Hope this helps clear things up.

I didn't know anything about watercolors when I bought them, they are in tubes What is the best way of using them? They seem to beore of a hassle. Thanks!
@RebelUnicornCraftsАй бұрын
You'll want some sort of palette to put them onto and then you can mix and paint from there. I've got an old short about tubes here, if that helps- kzfaq.infoX9_qYHEOcF8

If you didn't know that working with watercolors requires putting water on the colors then you really need to re-evaluate your life choices 😂😂

Everyone has to start somewhere! If someone had only worked with paint that they could dip right into might not realize it right away.

Yeah, I have to agree, this kind of threw me for a loop. If you've been watching her videos and contemplating getting into watercolors for a while, how can you not know they involve water? I mean, if you just landed on Earth from outer space, I'd understand, but.....
