With arthritic hands, I own so many jar/bottle opening methods, I could open a store. Thick rubber bands, flat grippy pads, those short oven mitts w/interior rubber dots, a whale w/steel teeth (bought back in the ‘90s, still use it), the rubber gripper with several different sizes…

The Vaseline perfume hack reminds me of Avon's solid perfumes from the 70's/80's that came in cute jewlery shaped like cats and owls. They opened up like a locket, and the solid perfume would be inside.

Can we just take a moment to say how organized and clean your Dollar Tree is? ❤ Lol, ours look nothing like that. A couple tricks that work for us. Put Saran Wrap over your travel bottles and then put the cap back on, this prevents any leaks. Another tip if your not traveling by plane, put your toiletries in a shoebox plastic container this way your not digging through your luggage and you can store it under the sink of your hotel.
@Lourdes-A.
@Lourdes-A. 2 ай бұрын
Most DT are not as organized - true.😁At least I know the ones around where I live, ones that hardly ever stock up and are messy, so I stay away! I’ve also been using the plastic wrap trick for years, especially when traveling by plane, or if I’m driving to a high altitude area with lots of mountains. I even keep in my luggage one or two of those plastic baskets from DT 😁and use them to keep all my toiletries all in one place at the destination. It keeps my things together and I can just grab the basket and bring everything to the bathroom or bedroom all at once.
@amya9597

@@Lourdes-A. That’s really smart! I learned the hard way when flying about leaks and vowing to never have a can of mousse explode inside my luggage again.🤪 I agree that most Dollar Trees are not clean and disorganized, it’s really a shame. Love your basket idea! 💕

I use command strips to hold it makes for easy removal to change batteries which I get from Dollar Tree also due to always forgetting to turn it off. I also use the pot holders for brush cleaners. Did you know paint samples are chalk board. I use them with removable double sided tape for labels. They also make great chore charts and or calendars. Another travel idea the 10 pack of round containers and a Pringles can make a great storage or travel container 7 of the round containers fit easily in a Pringles can.

NEW HACK FOR YOU. I had a crafting room that I used a lot of hot glue on it and also had some wax that got on the carpet. Thought I ruined my carpet. Learned that if you put a paper towel over the wax or hot glue spill and get your iron extremely hot and place oily over the paper towel, it will pick up the glue or wax. It will not ruin your iron. I spilled a big can of wax on the carpet and got the majority of it up by using a card board at first, then when there was less I over to paper towels. It is so cool. You have to try it😀

A great hack that I know of is the new Cruet water bottle. Especially for traveling, and if you don’t have access for water, you replace the silicone liner and you have a clean bottle to start with. They are the only bottle company that makes a water bottle with a silicone liner, and you don’t have stinky bottles anymore either. I just love this water bottle. I think you will too.

Using fabric softener will eventually break down the graphic/transfer on your t-shirts & sweatshirts. Also put them in the dryer inside out & on medium heat if you can, not high heat.

Use an over the door purse holder and a door hook. Put all of your toilet paper in it. It holds all the rolls from a Costco pack of toilet paper. Also, get two long bungee cords and four large eye hooks. Screw in two eye hooks at the bottom of the wall and two hooks the length of the bungee up the wall. They should be spaced about 8 inches apart. Then put in rolls of paper towels behind the bungee cords. Holds about 8-10 rolls!

I love all your ideas!! Something I have never seen addressed are pet odors. I have a cat, I use the sifting cat box liner's. One issue is once the box is clean and the cat uses it again. I swear my bf has the most sensitive sense of smell ever. Even though I buy the freshening cat litter it doesn't help. One day I was re lining the box, I thought hmmm I put dryer sheets in the bottom of the trash can, why not try the litter box?? I put several in the bottom before I relined it and a few in the sifting liner itself. It works!!!! For the first time in I swear 4 years my bf came home and said those words I have been longing to hear: the house smells great. The dryer sheets don't seem to bother the cat and I do try and catch when she does #2 but in the event that I can't the dryer sheets do help.

Those tiny resealable bags also work great for keeping your necklaces separate and untangled. You just close the seal over the chain parts of the necklace, and the seal surrounding keeps the chains from getting tangled. A staffer at a jewelry store showed me this, and I use this hack all the time.

Stanley Cup Dupes: I bought the purple one. It worked great, until I accidentally dropped it. The lid broke and the cup was unusable for me. I tossed it and got the TAL , same style, from Walmart. Sure, it cost a little bit more ($18) but it keeps my drinks cold longer, and it has taken a beating from me. My kids are rough and my cup has been knocked over many times, without incident. I highly recommend these TAL cups!

Great tips! I bought the Tumbler a couple of weeks ago. It does a pretty good job of keeping things cold but the lid doesn't stay on very securely after you use it a couple of times.
