When I was in 11th grade, I had a group assignment where we partnered with a farm known for their regenerative farming methods. We had to compare their farming methods and the quality of their products to ones from local grocery stores. Seeing you do this internationally while having this immersive experience is so exciting. I’m living in Barcelona which is on the coast of Spain and the other day I happily referred to the water I was in as the ocean and my native friend GASPED and said “no, this isn’t the ocean!” And I’m like all confused and she’s like this is the sea, there’s a difference. I think it’s an American thing to call it the ocean hahahaha

hi dobochoba! i came across one of your videos on my feed just this morning and i’ve been exploring your channel the whole day. i’m only gonna be a sophomore in high school this year, but watching your videos assure me that college just isn’t about studying and working your butt off! it’s also about the freedom you get as a young adult and having the ability to make your own choices and when it really comes down to it, school isn’t **everything**. i have rly bad anxiety about the future/college and not being able to keep up with grades even though i’m still a sophomore in high school.. i try to comfort myself with videos like this and also just looking all over sites like quora and reddit to maybe see others in my situation and what advice people have given them. i’ve come to found that grades, gpa, and major tests do of course matter and you should focus on them, but there’s 24 hours in a day and you’ll definitely be able to have free time to do the things you want to do. you’re still young and your head shouldn’t always be worried about school. while you’re still young, live and explore. hardships will come, but what’s life without a little difficulty? you have to learn from those experiences so that you can have even better experiences in the future. this was sort of a rant and advice for myself to read whenever i’m having hard times.. with this in mind, thank u for uploading these videos even with tour busy schedule! they are a source of comfort for thousands out there and as viewers, we’re also all so happy to see u living wonderfully!! enjoy italy!!! it’s absolutely gorgeous and you as well!!

i can relate to what you said about kind of struggling with the amount of social interaction and the lack of alone time while going abroad. i visited my boyfriend's parents in cali for almost a month this summer (we live in sweden) and it was so tough at times not being able to just take a nap or walk away due to not being at home. just know that it does get better and it really helps to het that 48h sleep/isolation once you get home 😅🫶

for your "I think Spanish helped" thingy, I just want to say yes, it did. I'm a Portuguese native speaker, I'm from brazil, and so far of all the languages I attempted to learn (right now I'm learning Korean) all the Latin derivated ones were the easiest. so to me French, Spanish, and Italian are all easy languages to learn, they're not the same, but since I'm already a Latin language speaker, it helps a lot. good luck with your study abroad, I hope you have fun

ahhhhh this is just . . . my favorite video! probably out of every youtube video i've ever watched. i waited until late afternoon to watch this, after i'd done my chores and exercised and gotten a nice cup of tea. hey! so since you want to learn italian, i recommend making everything around you in that language (shows, your phone's language, books ect) this will help you immerse yourself in the culture a lot more. also, watch shows that you already know in english, or even kids shows (these are very good for beginners) lmk if this helps !!
