he never yelled at them in real life. they would film him yelling and kicking but the dog was not even there.

Doc Martin crew-back Please we here in usa Love them all. Truly nothing like this team. Nothing ever!!! We love his documentaries too What other t v movies is doc martin in ? And his crew ? He never shouts at the dogs.....the sound is added on later, he just mimes the words when the dog is there. The dogs all adore him.

When you see a close up of him yelling at a dog, the dog has already been removed. He's yelling at thin air.

I love the fact that in real lives he loves dogs! It was proved here with the scene where he is in the car and the dog is not doing what it is supposed to do and he kisses the dog on the head! Love it!

It's funny that so many people compare and contrast Dr. House and Doc Martin, but I remember being in the hospital with my desperately sick child and hoping that a "Dr. House"-type doctor didn't exist in real life and certainly NOT in our hospital, but I actually love Doc Martin and would choose him FAR over Dr. House. I don't know why. IRL, Martin Clunes and Hugh Laurie are BOTH polar opposites from their characters, but Clunes has the advantage of being Kipper the Dog in my daughter's eyes. ;)

@Papplelifesaver I said to my mother the other night when we were watching Doc Martin shoo that adorable little dog out of his kitchen that I could actually see him being all big, mean and gruff on camera towards the dog but after the camera stops he would basically walk up to it and give it a whole lot of affection because 'he' was mean to it. XD

What is the age difference between Martin and Louisa? I’ve watched the whole series and I don’t think it was referenced at all... Only one scene The Doc referred to himself as the older man. And I think Louisa was in her 30s?
