I loved Gremlin, the first dog. Never forget the scene where Martin drags Gremlin out of surgery while he was laying down on his side!

I LOVE Doc Martin and everyone on the show, and I love Buddy! Cracked me up when he ran off with the toy "suspect" when Penhale was trying to train him! I will be visiting Port Wenn (Port Isaac) May 2021. So looking forward to it, and I'm going to pretend all the characters are there!

Klunes apparently spends a lot of time playing with the dog during breaks, so it is easy to understand why the dog is so affectionate around him. I understand he is a real dog lover - unlike the doc.

I love the series and goes without saying the dog angle is so charming I mean every time a dog comes on the scene I just go 🥰 aaawww and it was a surprise to know Doc sorry Martin loves dogs in real life, must be an ordeal for him to show disdain every time the black dog or Buddy comes inside his surgery. But I love Dr. Martin the character.

I thought it was interesting during an interview with Martin doesn't actually yell at the dog he simply mouths the words and goes back with voice over later so not to upset or confuse the dog.
