I've recently applied to radiology and am counting down the days until we receive offers. So much of what you've said has resonated with what I want out of my career/life and I've certainly struggled as a medical student and junior doctor with imposter syndrome, valuing my time outside of work and wanting to build a medical career where I can balance all of these things. I think that not all doctors (myself included) fall under the "workaholic" stereotype and it is extremely refreshing to hear a consultant be open about these thoughts. Thank you for making this video because it has really helped me to know that I've (hopefully) chosen the right path! Love the content and will be following closely!

As somebody who's considering Radiology, the similarity of thoughts is uncanny. Thank you for sharing this.

It would be sooo nice if you made some other videos about this topic. Being in my first year of Internal Medicine, I really love the diversity and the fact that you never focus on only one thing, but really notice how much time I lose doing paperwork, useless administrative tasks and so on.. and I actually do consider switching to Radiology. Thank you for your honest opinion and your views on all that !

Nice video doctor ....nice to see real and personal views on different specialties ...even I wanted to go radiology because of the flexibility it offers but for my rank in India I may not get radiology ...so thinking of settling with other branch ...😀

I have a friend go into it who loves it. Lifestyle looked amazing right? Good private work too. But I didnt want to do the MRCP and ontop of that you have to do a lot of research/publications.It is really competitive to get into and i just wasnt into skin enough to go down that road. Just my humble opinoin. I enjoy what radiology is and the life it's given me. It's not for everyone i guess
