I was that one person who needed help on a flight. I was like 12 years old and was going to visit my grandma with my mom and my brother. I was sleeping, but suddenly I woke up and felt this gut feeling that I had to go to the bathroom. As soon as I closed the door, blood rushed down from my nose. I took a few napkins there and went like this to my mom. I woke her up and told her that my nose was bleeding. She looked at me with sleepy eyes, and after seeing me, all the sleepiness left her body in an instant. She called for stewardesses, and after that, they were running around me for a good 2 hours. The flight was about 4 hours. They were bringing me water to keep me hydrated, napkins to clean my face, ice for me to keep on my nose, to help the bleeding stop faster, and cotton tampons to put in my nose to stop the bleeding. But it never stopped. I needed to change those tampons every 10 minutes. That how bad of a nosebleed I had. After we landed, I went to the bathroom to change my clothes. There, I saw myself in a mirror. I looked like I was murdered and revived. My T-shirt was covered in blood, my face was covered in blood, and my jeans were also covered in blood. I was a bloody mess. But fortunately my nosebleed stopped, so I didn't have to worry about staining my clothes again. I felt dizzy and nauseous, I felt like my legs were made out of cotton. I couldn't walk, or think, or talk. My mind was completely blank. I lost a lot of blood that time. But you know what scared me the most? When my nosebleed stopped and I had to remove the tampon, not only was it painful, but it was disgusting as well. I felt like I pulled out a real-life bloody snake outta my nose. My blood clotted inside, and it felt as if I had taken this abomination straight from my brain. It was so deeply embedded. And all this happened due to a change in pressure. Despite the fact that I had flown many times before, my blood vessels were at their weakest that time and decided that they would take a vacation, leaving me with a terrible nosebleed. As soon as we got on a train to get from Moskow to my grandma's place, I immediately passed out and slept for half of the ride. Which was about 6 hours long, so I didn't sleep for a long time. But I felt better. I wasn't as pale, I didn't look like a ghost, a could stand up, eat, and think again. It was, fortunately, the worst experience in my life, which I will never forget I deeply apologize to the flight attendants for my bloody mess, and I'm extremely grateful for their help. They were patient with my scared ass and helped me as much as they could, which made this whole experience less awful as it could be

The blind doctor stabbing for an IV reminded me of the last time I gave blood (I never went back). I turned my head away purposely, and the phlebotomist stuck the needle in and I started to relax. But it hurt more and more. I turned around and saw he was digging underneath the skin for the vein. I told him to stop it, he's cutting tissue; take it out. After another dig or 2, he finally did. I did not appreciate that. I do understand he wanted to get it right without pulling the needle out. I've done a stick or 2 myself, and the rule is 2 strikes and you're out. No one wants to strike out. But _IT HURTS!!_ Don't do it! Once in each arm, then give it up to the nurse. Especially a 16 gauge needle like the Red Cross uses! That thing is a hose! Please tell your phlebotomist never dig. All it does is cut tissue and make it impossible for anyone else to insert the needle. That was the only time I had a giant bruise on my needle site. It's really too bad, too, because I normally have a high platelet count (I think 240+), and I always gave a double unit of platelets. Don't mess with the donors! You do want them to keep coming back. Don't dig!

Interesting fact about me, I cannot get brain freeze nor do I have a gag reflex! Apparently when I was very little I fell down some stairs and cracked my skull. Well nearly 21 years later while being checked out to see if I needed to get surgery on my nose (I had a bone spur that needed to be removed but it turns out it was so bad that they had to reconstruct my nose entirely!), they find out that the head injury that I sustained might of killed the nerves that give me brain freeze and my gag reflex! They told me that this is one of the reasons why I am able to just chug down a freshly made cup of coffee without feeling much of the heat which I was told can be dangerous!

Can you do medical videos where you straight up teach academic stuff? Maybe you could make a separate channel for it.
