Men being doctors is a real stereotype atleast in general public The first day of internship I along with a female co intern were assigned to assist a consultant in medicine opd. Almost 10 patients in a row called her sister.

Some traumatic memories from Past surfaced today... "present the case" these words still haunt after so many years. 😳 I remember crying day and night trying to read whole books as soon as possible to possibly "learn everything" When I'm a teacher, in future if I ever be one, I'll make sure students around me are never traumatized.

I appreciate the subtle way of questioning the seniors. Their role is to share knowledge and provide the juniors with the opportunity to learn and grow. Reading volumes of books never equal to the guidance received from a clinician. Thank you.

Every residency training is hectic in India you should be available 24*7 Some cool branches(I mean in which you can get sleep for 5-6 hr) are MD dermatology, radiodiagnosis, MS Ent, opthalmology All other non and para clinical branches like anatomy, physiology, Pathology foransic medicine..... Etc you have 9-5 work (except in covid they are also doing 24*7 ward work) Most hectic are MS/MD OBGY MD MEDICINE MS GEN. SURGERY HERE IF YOU GET 2 HRS OF UNINTERRUPTED SLEEP IT'S CONSIDERED AS PRIVILEGE
