Oods, the most peaceful beings in the universe who try to kill you in almost every episode they're in

This is the winner of a kid's TV competition to write a Doctor Who episode.

The kid who wrote this actually really understands the Doctor’s character. They wrote him really well. And I love how the doctor and Albert Einstein talk to each other like they were old Frenemies. This minisode is great it’s not a big giant adventure, it’s just Thursday for the Doctor.

I loved it when the Doctor got defensive of the TARDIS. "OLD TRASH?!"

I saw the thumbnail of the video, and for a very brief moment, I thought this was supposed to be the 11th Doctor with the 1st Doctor.

I love the fact that they talk almost as if they were on equal ground intellectually.

The Daleks exterminated Einstein's toothbrush. I can buy that.

Why do I get the feeling this was based off of Matt Smith's fanfiction? (It's a well-known fact that Matt wrote fanfiction of the Doctor meeting Einstein in order to get himself into the character.)

Is this just a regular occurrence? Like, little odd things like this will just happen on a regular basis when the Doctor isn't actively travelling. I like to think so

The TARDIS looks brilliant in the scene, wish they had lit it this way throughout the season.

Most impressive about this is that it's actually a coherent story. It doesn't go into all kinds of wild detours. Just Einstein trying to build his own time-machine, apparently failing pathetically but then failing in a spectacular and impressive way. Clever.

That was terrific and I wish there had been a full episode with the Doctor and Einstein.

I just realized, that that Yo Yo that the Doctor pulled out was the 4th Doctors Yo Yo... o_o

I'm curious as to how old the kids who wrote this were at the time. It's actually quite good for a short and doesn't feel forced or out of place for the show which can be hard to do. Fanfiction is either fantastic or terrible and this falls on the former end for me. I'd love to see more official fan written shorts for a lot of series that I like.

This gets even cooler when you find out that Matt once wrote fanfiction of the Doctor meeting Einstein after he’d recently been chosen to play Eleven and had watched some pre-existing episodes.

This is fantastic! The only problem I have with it is that the actor who plays Einstein looks NOTHING like Einstein

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was the first Doctor.

Where did he get the translator ball? They had a whole episode about how it's not a natural part of the Ood.

I like this. It would've been even better if it had included a line like "I haven't seen you since that business with the Rani on Lakertia" (a 7th Doctor adventure) but it really hit all the right notes for a mini-episode.
