Love seeing the old shots of the Time Lords in classic Who in their full regalia. It would be beyond epic if for the 55th anniversary we got a three Doctors story with Tennant, Smith and Capaldi on Gallifrey in full Time Lord costume.

I really want to see the early days of the doctor on Gallifrey. I think the Doctor and Master argued after the Master's madness became apparent, and the Master fled in a TARDIS, vowing to destroy the Doctor. He aimed at the Earth, a topic which had interested the Doctor at the academy. The Doctor took the name of Foreman and also vowed to protect it.

This is a great video to show a family member or friend if they think Doctor Who is just a stupid si-fi show. Can I just say that I hate it when someone says that they "tryed" to watch Doctor Who and didn't like it and I find out that they only watched like two episodes. It took me almost an entire season to really want to watch it. Half of the time the only way I can get someone to watch it is to ether watch it with them or make a deal that every episode of doctor who they watch, I'll watch a episode of a show they want me to watch.

Well done, very impressive indeed. I was expecting something from Genesis of the Daleks but I can't remember if there are any useful lines there.

I hate myself for it, but I sometimes cringe, seeing the flaws of Classic Who. The wobbly sets and bad special effects. Yet I know I that they were made on a low budget and that technoloy has advanced tremendously since those days, Sadly, I still remain too picky to watch them though... However, I highly respect their history and legacy. And you did a wonderful job at giving them justice, aside the new series, showing them for the stories they told, showing how great they were, despite their shortcomings. For that, I applaud you!

Star Trek TNG and Star Trek Voyager appear to pay many oblique tributes to Dr who at a time, during the 1990s, when the BBC appeared to have abandoned the whole thing. A planet very similar to Gallifrey seems appears briefly in the opening credits of Star Trek the Next Generation at least from the third series onwards. It is the large planet with the rings with red and orange colours. Star Trek Voyager pays many tributes including Future's End, Before and After, The Year of Hell, The Omega Directive and Relativity. The literary ideas explored in Dr Who are possibly the greatest in science fiction!

I don;t get how the Time Lord could have been returning whilst being stuck in a time lock and being evil then to find out they were actually never put in a time lock at all. They were put inot a pocket universe. There should atleast try be some logic to this shit.

Due to the infrequency of Dr. Who appearing on regular TV in my area, I'm not very familiar with the story line. Thanks to Netflix I can pretty much choose to watch what I want now. But the story line is so long. What is the best place to start watching? If starting with the beginning of any particular Doctor, which one's are the best?

Just saying that a series - Days of the Time War - with #8 Paul Mgann would be epic.

...In the end, it sort of made perfect sense, tho, if you think about it - among the Time Lords, only the Master escaped, and he's sneaky and departed before the final days of the war, but there were tons of Dalek survivors. Now that it turs out that the Doctor never turned a superweapon against both, but simply sealed the Time Lords and left the Daleks to something as mundane as their own crossfire, it makes sense some of them would get away. See the lone survivor from "Dalek", the cult of Skaro (and the various clusterfucks caused by them throughout series 2 to 4), the Emperor from "Parting of the Ways" and the ship from "Victory of the Daleks"...

Of the many races in the universe, only a few will master time travel. The Time Lords and the Daleks may seem to have been able to avoid going to war. Of the two races, only the Time Lords were aware of the third race who will master time travel. The Time Lords were not able to stop the third race. Sometime in the Twenty-first Century C.E.(Common Era), the humans are going to be able to master time travel. With the guidance of the Doctor, Humans will tried to use time travel for the good of all. Unfortunately, there will be those few humans who tried to use Time Travel for evil. Because of the Great Time War, the Humans will seek out for other races who have master time travel. the main goal of the Human race in its search may be focus on developing an alliance of the races who have master time travel. One of the main objectives of the alliance will be focus on preventing another Time War.
