Been binge watching your videos all through lockdown Matt, amazing channel, love everything you're doing - all very relatable as someone who was born in '93 and grew up with the classics. You should definitely do an 'ideas for the 60th' video or a 'best lines in doctor who' video :)

Funny. I watched your previous review on the Dead Planet daleks and I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool if they did a Dalek Invasion of Earth set." Lo and behold. I know I'm getting this because I do have the SFX Invasion dalek..

This is definitely a nice set, and as one of those collectors who missed out on the DIOE supreme the first time around I'm really glad to have the chance to get one. If I were to be super picky I would have preferred the smaller pupil to be on the drone, since I have the original talkie toaster version it would have been a little more differentiation between the two, but that's very nitpicky. I apreciated seeing the comparison between the two silvers, that really is quite striking. My Dalek Collectors set 1 dead planet dalek is quite badly sunfaded, so he already wasn't the same colour, but it's nice to know that will give a bit of variety between my DIOE drones. I'll have 4 daleks for that story with this set, that's pretty good.

I thought the last review that Matt said he would do the 'The War Games' set. NOT an issue - looking forward to that review. The 60's Daleks are the best designs. Great and professional review as always. Definitely going to get this set, in fact I'll get them all apart from the new ones as I don't think they are that exiting. Never say never though. :)

You know, I just tried to count how many sets there could possibly be, with different variants and new paint jobs... And the numbers got scary. Like, not just hiding behind the sofa scary, like going to a sofa store, and hiding behind the furthest sofa from the door scary

You could remove the big base but keep the small one on the silver/blue Dalek and call it the Space Museum Dalek

Can’t wait to see the 2nd Doctor Tardis review, all we need now is the 8th doctor’s Tardis, won’t surprise me if they do a re release of the 7th doctor Tardis with a 6th doctor figure

they shall probably do low hassle dalek moods. it is possible we might get every single dalek, as classic dalek are all the same figure but with a different colour. charactar they shall have profitably above all else, as b and m exclusive are much cheaper compared to the previous forbidden planet where prices are premium and much higher in demand compared to now. so do not expect any bomber daleks or dalek time controller or clear dalek . daleks that shall need more than a mere paint job

batmanmarch I was rewatching The Chase and I noticed in Episode 5, the Daleks in the background are not only Movie Dalek props but are unaltered Movie Dalek props (unlike how the props looked in Episode 3 which is the SFX Version that was released) so they could still make a full on Movie Dalek figure. Eaglemoss made a Figurine

The Evil Dalek there may be licensing issues for the movie Dalek, but expect to see the sound effect chase guard dalek paint job, as that is extremely easy to produce

Animation Mike there were no licensing issues when Eaglemoss released the movie dalek in their figurine collection. Also, regarding the issue of new sculpts, Character has proven that small amounts of retooling can be done, such as new lamps or bases for the Tardis, or new head sculpts for companions. So I see no reason why they wouldn’t be able to produce a new sculpt for the movie dome lights for example. Plus, they already have a sculpt for the movellan bombs, as it was released in the Fourth Doctor Adventure Set.

The DIOE daleks are actually a slightly different sculpt. There is a hole sculpted in the bands where the disc is where the attatchement is sandwiched through and also the dead planet SFX daleks were also a different sculpt to the collectors set 1 dead planet dalek, not just for the SFX button but the torso is very marginally thinner than the original release.

Are you sure the hole in the back isn’t just drilled afterwards? I’ve taken apart one of those Daleks recently, and the edges of that hole looked a bit too sharp and rough to be part of the original sculpt.

@@schmoobmcfroob2800 Quite possibly, i did think that too or a bit. You could be right. The SFX daleks sculpts seem to have been adapted for use among the non SFX daleks, i've taken daleks apart and the attatchment parts are still moulded on the insides. There are a few other telling signs too between the dalek progenitor guardian and the SFX bronze dalek and this one and dead planet daleks,

Maybe the eyes are rubbery so they're easier to fix if there bent in the packaging. Just a thought

You can put them in boiling water and then reposition the eyestalk and wait for the plastic to harden again.

This year they are releasing them more widely in Australia - e.g. Sanity have them up for sale and other retailers will once they are released. (IKON, the Aus distributers have all the sets up for order for retailers)

Exclusive to B&M?! Don't tell me Character canceled their plans to share with the States! I've been calling those silly geese at BBC America about these figures in the shop and they don't have a clue what I'm talking about. Are these figures coming to America? If so, when?

As far as I know they will be available for the US on Amazon and (I think) on the BBC store (All online though).

Howyaduing towards the end of the month. We've had no exact date yet but if you look on the doctor who site merchandise guide they will tell you when they have hit stores
