I feel like they just regurgitated The Power of Three episode. They just swapped Smith (11) for Ten and the Ponds for Donna and the Nobles. I'm glad they got Ten and Donna back together, but I was very disappointed.

Disney just releases it on their platform, but also it's not designed for you. It's designed to appeal of the youths of today, not the youths of 20 years ago. Doctor Who has always tried to be progressive. I doubt young adults are interested in old white men traveling the universe with a 19 year old girl with a crush on him. I'm sure they'll love this new emotionally secure, super hot black doctor. It's almost as though that is more appealing than a tragic manchild who can't deal with his past.

There are lots of species and characters not afforded “tolerance, understanding, and acceptance,” in Dr. Who. That’s not the point. Do they preach Dalek acceptance? Is that trait shown as good for the Cybermen? It’s a tv show primarily made to entertain children and families. Different episodes can have different messages, but good ones are woven into the story, not preached (see “Aliens of London” or “Rosa,” vs. “Orphan 55” or “Arachnids in the UK”). Agree with them or not, that doesn’t make for good tv. Davies used to be so good at that. Dr. Who at its best treated diverse characters like people (see Captain Jack & Bill Potts [most underrated companion]) instead of tokens just to lecture you about their token trait (Rose Noble & the entire 14th Doctor’s run being about scoring political points on Twitter instead of storytelling).
