Doctor Who The Passenger (Full Minisode Edit with Tales of the TARDIS)

What the 60th anniversary could have brought us - this is Doctor Who minisode edited together from the Doctor Who: The Collection trailer for season 20, and the Tales of the TARDIS Earthshock episode (and a clip of the TARDIS in space from one of Jodie Whittaker's episodes as well). It doesn't quite make sense in places but I tried to blend the two storylines together as best I could, and I think it almost does.
NOTE: I'd also like to make a little apology for the odd aspect ratio. I meant to export it at 21:9 for a cinematic look - after considering 4:3 for a classic one - and I think it works however it clearly exported slightly wrong with those black bars at the side of the screen. I would re-upload but I don't think it affects it hugely so it's not a big deal.

I honestly really liked this, especially since those of us in the U.S. didn’t get Tales of the TARDIS. This felt like a very welcome replacement, even without the actual serial included…I’ve seen Earthshock already so I can just let my memory of that story fill in that gap. As far as it not making sense in places, you had to work with what you got, so all forgiven there. Looking forward to your future edits that can give us Yanks the part of the 60th Anniversary that we weren’t originally allowed to have…❤️ Much love and thanks from across the pond! 👍🏻❤️🥰😁

my new theory is that this is part of the Biregeneration. Where the Doctor visits his favourite faces and works through all that he's been through, so Ncuti's Doctor can live his life.

I think that might be the implication, though in the 7th Doctor/Ace episode he says that in some universes he doesn't regenerate which suggests it's an alternate universe. I think at the end of the day it doesn't need an explanation and what matters is that they made something like this for the 60th.

The Mara should be another foe to come back, this time trying to invade earth using Tegan as a host through her dreams and since humans aren't familiar with the Mara she is left as unbelieved and will they be in time to save the world, save Tegan?

The sources for all the video used are listed in the video description. I haven't made any other edits from the other Tales of the TARDIS/DVD trailers but I may at some point. The others don't line up quite as well.

It's good... but... I think the "...in another universe..." and "Take my hand." intercuts with the Memory TARDIS might have been a bit much. Overall it was good. Just cut back on those to keep the flow going. :)

They probably are a bit much, I wanted something to try and show the two bits together rather than just the trailer bookending Tales of the TARDIS and that was what seemed to work the best.

Flawed character is flawed, the whole arc of season 21 is that fivey isn’t actually all that well equipped for being the doctor

How? The TARDIS was damaged by the cybermen & they watched him die in a historic event. It became a fixed point. Yes there's always ways of going back and saving anyone if you tie yourself in knots enough, but what's the point? It destroys the drama. Adric dying was etched on my mind as a kid. It was an event

they killed off the wrong companion. it should have been Nyssa and Tegan killed off. Or in only one or two stories.
