I don't mind the fact the screwdriver can be only held upright as the old screwdrivers where always held upright. War even asked in the 50th why 10 and 11 where pointing their screwdrivers outwards at him. They are scientific instruments, not water pistols.

Going to get this next week. Stunning figure. Hopefully we'll start seeing more 5" figures of New Who if this sells well. Even if its only a few Special figures like The 12th Doctor, Clara, main villains etc. as it would be more affordable to collect that way anyway.

A great review, thank you. It has convinced me to buy my boys this figure as a Christmas present. Also, just wanted to mention that your custom Series 8 Twelfth Doctor figure looks quite good. I wonder how it'll compare to the real thing, come Autumn. Also it looks to me from that photo that your custom Series 7 Part 2 5" scale Eleventh Doctor figure looks like you've improved it. Is it just me or have you made some changes?

They call him "The Other Doctor" because they aren't allowed to advertise with the word "war" on things marketed to children. It's the same reason "Transformers: Beast Wars" got changed to "Beasties" in Canada back in the 90's.

Hmm I would've thought the Capaldi coat would have been shorter, that's a shame. The Capaldi in costume figure will just be a straight repaint then.

Nines head has the peg installed on the actual head so it is unfortunately not removable, and yes the head fits on the blue variant because it is the same sculpt the only difference is that the colors are different

Someone please explain to me that if this doctor exists wouldn't that make Peter Capaldi the 13th doctor? And don't time lords only have 13 regenerations so why do people still call him 12? And doesn't this mean that dr who is close to an end? Can somebody please answer this!

Its... timey wimey. The war doctor is the ninth incarnation but is not classed as a "Doctor" as he (and his future regenerations up until 11) deem him to be responsible for wiping out the Daleks and Time Lords and destroying Galifrey, so he lost the right to be called the doctor. Thats why when he becomes Christopher Eccleston he is then called the Doctor again, the ninth incarnation to be given that title. The tenth doctor also used up a regeneration at the end of Stolen Earth making him the 11th and 12 incarnations but as he looked the same he was the 10th doctor version one and two, making Smith the 13th. However in Time of the Doctor, just as Smith had reached the end of his last life the time lords granted him a new regeneration cycle, meaning that Capaldi is the first doctor in the second regeneration cycle, the 14th incarnation and the 12th Doctor overall. Hope this helps. If i could draw a flow chart on here, I would! lol

+10th Doctor Whooves The buttons on the jacket seem all different. The cuffs on War Doctor's jacket are much thicker. I think they are similar, but definitely different.

I personally think what wouldve been a little better is if they released the figure with eccleston's head instead of mcgann's head cus like you said,his shoulders look too wide and the head looks out of lace for the 8th doctor. Mind I wouldve liked to see a release of the 8th doctor figure from the Night of the Doctor.

I think the second head was supposed to be that younger john hurt. If you look closely, the nose and head sculpt are almost identical.
