I've never been a fan of Action Man, though I did love the 2 films, Robot Atak and X Missions when I was a kid. However, I've decided I would write a concept script about him, with the most respect possible for the franchise *from back in the days.* I'm doing this for many others including those that have already been ruined and I do plan on having them directed and released in the future. Because we need to show Hollywood how to adapt a franchise, including kids' shows.

While I do agree, it's important to note the positive changes cartoons and the like have made since the 90's and 00's. Back then they were too afraid of showing things like homosexuality, even going so far as to alter scenes and dubs just to remove them, regardless of whether it'd make sense or not (looking at you, Sailor Moon...). Cartoons are more willing to take risks in some ways now compared to back then, but in others, such as darker themes like with this series and its fascist eugenicism, cartoons - at least children's ones - probably wouldn't want to go near it. It does saddens me because topics like this can be quite interesting. I recently rewatched this series, and while it was more boring in areas than I remembered, it was still good for a cartoon, especially with certain topics it tackles. It can get surprisingly philosophical at times, with one example being where Alex Mann tells Dr. X that wanting to do testing on humans is wrong, while Dr. X responds by saying we already do it with plants and animals, so why are we any different? It's especially fun to character analyse Alex Mann, because he makes some unusual judgements at times. He says he believes Asazi (however you spell her name) isn't evil, but when push comes to shove he can't express why. She's an assassin that is paid to *murder* people, yet he badgers her constantly about her supposedly being good. This, to me, seems to stem from a damsel in distress belief that he's probably internalised, believing that women can't possibly be evil because they're always a certain way he envisions them to be. It's very fun to watch things from when you were a kid again as an adult, where you're able to notice and analyse things you once weren't able to. I kinda went off topic here, sorry, haha. But yeah, this show was likely of an era that we won't see again, unfortunately. Glad I got to grow up with it, at least.

Ironic to say that since this show "ruined" Action Man for me by turning him into a Max Steel rip-off and ignoring his British heritage. The 95 show was better.

I agree. I never watched these CGI tv shows. I think i may have viewed Action Man once in the past though. Anyways..the villains you mentioned are indeed quite epic. In fact both Action Man and Max Steel were quite well written shows. The animation was their only flaw which to be fair is understandable considering the time they were made. And that is one of the sad things about todays cartoon television. The resources and tech to create good animation do exist but creators dont bother to utilize it. Also...todays cartoon villains are nothing but a bad joke. No fear, no intimidation...just idiotic fools. A great shame. Psycho, Dr X, Megatron (Transformers Prime), General Tesler (Tron Uprising), Van Kleiss (Generator Rex) etc...such amazing villains.

@@barone8889 thankfully there are cartoons out there now that are actually good, so to speak, none of them i watched, but i hear good things about them, such as Hilda, Sheera reboot, Voltron, adventure time, troll hunter, Steven universe and it only looks like its getting a bit better, lets just hope it stay's that way.

@@strzygon5426 Most of these are comedies. They lack the intimidation factor. Voltron was good at first but in later seasons it got too comedic and the ending was very disappointed.

Just because something is a comedy does not make it bad. Wander over Yonder is a comedy, but has a,great villain. Lord Dominator was sadistic and cruel and stayed evil at the very end. She practically destroyed the galaxy! Rob from Amazing world of Gumball is another good villa in. He began as a minor character, but later turned into a homicidel madman who almost erased Gumball from existence! How is that weak? And shadow figure from Ok Ko is a terrific antagonist. Cold, cunning, sadistic and power hunger. Nothing funny about him. Never judge a book by its cover.

I think that if we think of our "mind" as a kind of impulse and not as a piece of meat in the brain, it has transferred itself, not created a copy. Another question is whether he had time to fully transfer, because at the end he clearly shouted "noooo" not Brandon

I think the point was showcasing that with enhancements one can surpass the limits of nature. Being cut in half would kill a normal human. But X was able to survive cause he was willing and driven enough to enhance himself. Sure not much of an upgrade but it allowed to maintain a significant part of his mobility and also survive.

He did not simply replace his legs with wheels. After close inspection of his body and his x ray scans, he has no pelvis bone, that happens when a person goes through Hemicorporectomy, which is a very complicated and rare medical procedure and last case scenario for people whose lower body was crushed to the point of no repair. During which his pelvis bone, reproductive organs, legs and rectum is removed. I assume that the ´´wheels´´ that Dr X had was a highttech electric wheel chair, but also a temporary storage for his body waste as his organs are connected with tubing. He also had splints on both of his forearms and he missed his left eye. In his physical position, which is actually very real is no surprise he craved for a new body.

I mean if it was the real dr X in Brandon's body, then as he was launched into space in the end of the series, there would still be computer dr X to carry on.
