On the dreaming thing, I agree with Dr Mike, but I feel I should add something. A cessation of dreams can be a symptom of sleep apnea. This was the case for me, I stopped remembering dreams because I stopped dreaming. When it was diagnosed I stopped breathing 126 times per hour, so I was never getting rem sleep. So I recommend making a note of the dream thing and pay attention for any other signs of sleep disruption. I want diagnosed until after a car accident due to my brain partially shutting down. Had I been diagnosed earlier, I might not have experienced the wonder of traumatic facial avulsion. (Lips to eyebrows, nasal bones pushing my eye out of socket)

@hauwadiyajo3937 I have procedures every year or two for my breathing. Some are just minor, so I don't need to be asleep but some require it. Last year I was in a medically induced coma and they had a hard time keeping me asleep despite the amount of drugs they gave me. I guess it just has less of an effect on me.

To the person with the high resting heartbeat. I know what you're going through. I could actually feel my heart beating faster when I would just be sitting down. My mom was born with reflux nephropathy and diagnosed with end-stage renal failure at twelve years old. She was on dialysis and daily medications and fistulagrams every few months. I learned at a young age not to hold in my pee as to prevent the risk of kidney failure. I also would sidewalk as a kid and my mom quickly learned that, for some reason, if I was sleepwalking, it meant I had to pee. I also learned to only take medication when needed and as prescribed.

I have a story about holding pee too long! I was in fourth grade and we had stupid rules about when you could go to the bathroom. One day, at home, I peed blood! My being the innocent 9 year old girl, thought I had gotten my period for the first time. I spent a few days wearing pads and being confused as to why there wasn't anything on them. I was too anxious to ask my mom. Eventually I ended up with a fever and my mom took me to the hospital. I spent 4 days in the hospital with a kidney infection. According to the doctor, I had held my pee so long that it backed up into my kidneys. When I got back to school, I had a doctors note that said I could go to the bathroom whenever I needed too.

Well, yeah! If someone wakes up during surgery, they need more anesthesia ASAP! Anesthesia=“medicine” “Encourage”=“Oh s*?!! Patient’s waking up! Deepen their anesthesia and throw in some propofol so they don’t remember it!” That kind of happened to me once…I was sedated vs having general, but of course this was administered by an anesthesiologist. Apparently, under the “twilight sedation”, I must have felt pain and started pushing him away. Obviously, I was moving too much for the surgeon to work. I only remember a flash of it. MD told me afterwards that he had to have the anestsiologist deepen sedation/put me out. I’m grateful for the “milk of amnesia.” I wouldn’t want to remember every detail of something like that, nor would I want someone with a scalpel having to “chase a target” during my surgery!😟

I remember my dreams every single morning, I don’t know why, because no one else I know does. But I literally remember every single time. And it’s useful, because it gives me something to think about on mornings when I’m stressed and getting ready for school. And I’m a writer, so sometimes I use my weird sleep plots/dreams to make a book!

Also especially if you can feel your heart going really fast when your not active. Anyways, go get it checked.

My dog does the same thing, to the point I eventually have to physically move to get her to stop. I learned that dogs do this because it releases dopamine into their brains and makes them feel happy and relaxed and lowers anxiety.

it is 100% normal to forget your dreams, even seconds after waking up. the brain actually does it on purpose. the brain has evolved to learn that remembering the dreams of (last night) sometimes seems strange, and causes interference in our daily activities/jobs,. so, the brain "forgets" these images/dreams. amazing how the brain can evolve.

I remember one time when I had to stay in the children’s hospital oncology ward, to get plasma infusions before surgery, they brought therapy dogs to cheer up kids, and also, the doctor said there is research that shows some people can heal faster when around a beloved animal or pet…and we saw this with my Grandma and her cat while living alone, as we honestly didn’t think she’d necessarily make it as long as she did. Never underestimate the Blessing of God’s loving creatures sharing love trying to help you feel better as they always know when you don’t feel well, or not the same.😊❤

i’ll tell you a story, throughout primary and secondary school teachers never allowed students like myself to use the bathroom. in 2017 the doctors said i had oab (over reactive bladder) it’s pretty common but it means that the bladder doesn’t work like it normally would so i really disagree with not letting kids use the bathroom. it’s a basic human right and like myself i had a real problem with my bladder and not allowing me to use the bathroom enhanced my symptoms
