In this video we have a look at a Dodge Avenger that came in with the engine light on and a code "P2441 AIR Pump Switch Valve Stuck Closed." It doen't take to long to use the scan tool and find the stuck valve. -Enjoy!

+chris G the S0707 is for the back end malfunction and T0069 is the reached out of limits upper gastro tract fault code. Hope that data helps with the diagnosis. -Glen

it gives extra air into the converter plus injection and ignition timing are set to super late and rich = unburned fuel in exhaust ..the extra air makes it combust in the exhaust / converter which heats up much quicker like that .... not really a dilution...

Helps the catalytic converter to "burn" what's left in the exhaust to CO2 and H2O. Gotta love regulations.

Nice video as usual! Hope you feel better & don't get what I had but you are still a young buck. Fighting low WBC count & just spent last 5 days in the hospital and left not knowing what caused my temp or chills. Dr's hate me b/c I ask them questions that make them rethink their diagnosis, stutter, or give me the deer in the headlight look. They said sometimes we don't know and just treat the symptoms. I tell them Drs are just like any other profession...you have your top notch, really good, good, marginal and then ones that I wouldn't let touch my pets. First 2 were OK and last one Infectious Disease Doc rocked. 36 hrs after seeing him & BAM No DTCs & body on boost. :D Appears I still have some service life left in me...just needed a few high octane additives :D

Good video. At times there may have been TMI. My wife just got over the norovirus same symptoms only worse. Drink plenty of liquids you'll need them.

Just remember those scan tools that perform those types of actions can be well over $2,000 and above. The sad thing is with vehicles becoming more electronic, if you want to be a mechanic, you will need those types of high level scan tools to diagnose those types of problems.

Great Video! Make the system work for you, (using the scan tool, android, laptop, whatever) and locate the bad part. Now you know how it works and what's broken.
