Dodge Challenger Widebody ZL1 Rock Guards Install and Review

These rock guards, or mud flaps, are a must for any widebody Challenger owner. The tires stick out way past the body, and the factory flares don't do a good job of shielding the car from the dirty and debris that gets flung up by the massive 305 width tires.
The ZL1 rock guards have a nice minimalistic design, were super easy to install, and I found that they provide great protection. The sides of my car stay completely clean now. For under $100, I definitely recommend the Zl1 guards, or any brand of your preferred choice.
I recommend this as a good DIY project if you have some basic wrenching and electrical skills. All DIY repairs or modifications you perform to your car are made at your own risk. I assume no liability for anything you choose to do to your car, before, or after watching one of my videos.

My challenger50 finally arrived here in the UK.I watched your video again to familiarise myself with the method you used.They look super slick and work perfectly,protecting the bodywork from stone chips.

Very helpful video. I had to use a combination of small and large clips to get everything nice and tight.

Excellent video. Installed the front guards using large and small clips. I used 2 screws for each side. Both sides are nice and tight. I will do the rears soon.

Man, i still struggle to buy These guards. On the one side i really want to protect the car. On the other i dont want to ruine the Look of the vehicle. And it is Really hard to get them in germany. But nice Video.

These suck to install. Rears for we were extremely tight with the small clips and loose with large. I found I needed to use a plastic tool to pop them into place. For the fronts I marked the screw hole and got that started with the flap as an index. The small clips fit easier but my fingers are still torn up. I hope these last.

I’m having trouble too I was able to get most of the clips on the front ones but the back ones aren’t going on. What was the tool you used?

I wonder the same thing. I didn't see a screw hole in the video and my 2020 scat WB doesn't have a screw hole either.

I ultimately purchased these. Very pleased. The rear guard has a hole but I didn't want to screw into my car. I just left screw out. Seems to be held in well enough with just clips.
