I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota pick up truck, head light ‘s were not working, could’nt figure out why they were’nt turning on,I thought I had a short, or had to get new bulbs ,but found out this Trick on Google, if you are having this problem try this out, it might work for you, good luck.

99 Dodge Ram here, same exact. Move steering wheel up and voila! headlights come on. So as you say after all these years. maybe wiring pinched or degraded enough now to stop the signal going down the line. Thank you so much for making the video.

Good video. Mine only work while the engine is not running. They quit when I start it up.

I have this same problem. I didn't know you could fix it with an OBD scanner. I thought that was for reading codes that come up which I currently don't have. I also remember someone saying in a forum that it was a wire that gets pulled when steering wheel goes down and makes good connection when steering wheel is up, hence the headlight quick fix. Still looking for the exact fix though.

Sorry if I wasent clear, what I mean is when you use a OBD , it’s to find codes on car, when you do and change part , with OBD you go back and clear code after you change part , te set it to see if part was problem ? If code don’t came back after you drive 50!miles plus then you did it.
