BTS is just THAT talented. Do more research on how much they train to sing/rap live while dancing. A lot of western artists can’t do that but doesn’t mean BTS can’t.

These guys have been a group for 10 years, butter is one of their newer stuffs and their vocal tones are easily distinguished. Besides they've said they worked hard perfecting their accents to sing it well. The Acapella clips with them singing English with an accent are all between 2014/2015, they obviously improved A LOT since then are are near fluent (one of the members have been perfectly fluent in English with 0 accent since he was like 13 year old, he's 28 now.)

BTS are actually pretty bad at lip syncing, is one of their known issues (not being able to stay still during interviews is another). Their songs play a lot with layered/doubled voices, and they use those other layers often as backing track while performing live. They're also pretty open when a song or part of a song is too hard to perform live. There are songs they never perform live, and they make a show of keeping their mouths closed or just smile if there is an adlib or something like that which plays when they are not actually singing it. If they're on a concert and one of them is not in his best condition, often another one gets their lines or they just let the audience sing

yes BTS do sing live Dave. member and leader RM is fluent in english and the other members have said before in interviews how he helps them out a bit with english pronunciations when recording their english songs. plus this is what they were trained to do in the first place, sing live while dancing. they trained for 2 years before debuting and have been together for almost 10 years now so don’t you think they have would have perfected live singing by now while doing hard choreo. they have proven in the past that don’t lip sync at all. and in fact they do have an NPR tiny desk performance where they sing their english song Dynamite and some of their older songs as well. when you sing you can mask an accent :). just tread lightly about how you talk about their accents since they aren’t native english speakers and they work hard to have good pronunciations bc it can come off as arrogant.

Also, about the accent, BTS even said that they have to practice a lot of times to pronounce each english words in all their english songs and yes all the clips you saw are old. Their english pronunciation now is a lot better than before and also yes they have a Tiny desk episode and even a MTV unplugged where you all can hear their voices. Yes! BTS sing live and they do it with tough choreo (see Run BTS live in Busan)! It is hard to believe because they're really that good! If anyone lip-synched at the Grammys it would be blasphemy! Anyways, they practice really hard to pronounce and enunciate when singing in English so that listeners wouldn't feel awkward hearing their accent (I think it was also to boost more radio play in the US).

Yes they singing live. As the others said you can hear their breathing. BTS and other Kpop idols train to stay stable. Meaning still have stable singing especially when jumping around and dancing. BTS don't do lip syncing. Members of BTS even sometimes completely stop singing their lines and stare at the camera, to counter the lip syncing allegations. Not to say that they might not have the back track playing, though even then you can differentiate their voices and breathing from the back track. Also in their concerts you will see it's completely live, with a band and all.

BUT aid you want to check out some solid live vocal performances check out their NPR tiny desk and Their festa room live. They do have some backing tracks but their mics are always louder than the back vocals. Accents fade when singing. Singing is controlled by a different part of the brain, which is why people who have sustained brain damage and cannot speak can sometimes still be able to sing. So their singing voice is different from their speaking voice, and that includes the lack of accent (though I'd argue that their accents are still quite present, especially in terms of /l/ and /r/ sounds

Yes, BTS sings live. The group leader is fluent in English and sounds American because he taught himself to speak English by watching the TV show Friends. Also, when they do English songs they work on the pronunciation and practice. As for singing while dancing...they actually train by running on treadmills while singing.

Bts or other kpop idols usually don't speak English with the Korean accent as the companies have teachers for them who help them learn English with the accent. If we talk about RM he spoke in an American accent from the very beginning as he learned it through a TV show .
