Although she was overly excited while asking (obviously her energy awaken but not got balanced yet) she was a bit of refreshment from the typical audience- she was more natural.

I know my ego is involved when I am craving recognition or working to get recognied or praised. But when I am doing solely out of its own satisfaction and doing joyfully regardless of the outcome, then I know that is coming from awakened doing.

this is true, because you can overcome that challenge and it is transmuted into opportunity. But when you are focused mostly on the end goal, you see the challenge as an enemy and "take it personally" as Eckhart explained here

I can definitely relate. I started stand-up comedy recently and when I'm in the flow of writing my set and being creative, I definitely feel a sense of flow that doesn't seem to come from this form. However, on stage I feel that I sometimes lose that sense of flow as nerves and enthusiasm about performing kick in. I think subconciously, or rather unconsciously, my ego craves the validation of a laugh or the crowd's reaction. Hopefully by continuing to practice mindfulness and presence, I will begin to experience the same flow state on stage as I do when I'm creating my set.

I love this lady. Yes, the ego loves to play nice to stay safe, when that is the identity we needed to adopt as a child (to survive in our family or school.) Perhaps the greatest challenge for the ego, is facing unpredictable outcomes.

When I was in the 'Flow" of creating industrial arts I could feel the higher self running through my presents. I felt this during the build process but my ego, excited by all the newness, wanted to see the completion of the project more than the doing. I have miles to go before I sleep.

I needed to hear this, I am starting a small business and have encountered initial obstacles and am getting pushback, I realize I don't need to lay down and just take 'NO' when it is thrown in my direction, I can be assertive without attacking, ultimately the outcome must be accepted however I am going to make sure this being has every opportunity to create exactly what it feels it should ❣️

Great Ekhart absolutely clear ,the Will is free but it gets caught up in the negative feelings when we are Not in line with the Divine Will .

Yes it is difficult to perservere when there is no results at once...But just follow the insight of you and keep going in the direction you are in putting your efforts. At least that I know I am in the right direction, thats enougf at the moment for me. Thanks for cearing me out this for me too. Somethimes no excitement is here in the work, but slowly it comes afterwards if I am doing step by step..

There is also a sense of huge detachment that comes at the end of the task, like you delivered some one else's baby through your body. A sense of distance with a feeling that you were just the conduit. When the process is fully self consuming and self annihilating there is no doer ship whatsoever.

It could be.. The important thing to pay attention to is how you feel while you do that, and while you perform any action actually. Do you feel joyful, at peace, like everything is already how it should be, but you're doing what you're doing consciously, because you chose to? Then that's not ego. If you feel agitated, stressed, like you need to get somewhere, like you need something to be complete (in this case, if you help others because that makes you have a better image of yourself, or whatever it might be) then it is ego. Helping people is a natural byproduct of being who you are. You don’t have to want to fix people: when you’ve made growth and connection a practice, others will feel the influence of healing by being around you or seeing what you demonstrate, or on occasion, by asking for advice. Often times we want to “fix people’s problems” to make ourselves feel valuable, or we assign our life’s purpose to it for a sense of fulfillment. In my experience, that line of thought (or belief system) will inevitably crumble, because we have no real control over who or what is fixed at what time. We may convince ourselves with a few convenient results, but it’s not in our power to optimize everyone’s life. With that said, you can certainly become an influence of healing for others. The way that a parent can guide their children, simply because they love them and have the information to support them. But the parent’s guidance does not depend on the desire to be of service or to fix problems. It’s a natural consequence of love.

@@m2pozad maybe they listen to their surface.. in fact more difficulty in deep seeing After I begun awakening, I have liked to see more and more real, simpler and ordinary faces. They are more pleasant to me when connecting with stillness. Rest are pleasant to the ego.. which is extremely shallow and pathetic almost. There is no fascination to form when in presence. It can only happen in the mind..

Thanks, that was a great segment! I'm also trying to enjoy my writing process/movie on music n mental health. However, I sometimes resent the Ad. Campaigns n overly-political activism work that I found myself in. I love performance art, n entertainment biz, but the Ads. Once upon a few months ago.... we're so alluring(at beginning of my psychotic break/when especially vulnerable). I play along with the ads.... honestly, worried my problems will worsen if I don't!? Haha ... training myself to cope with distraction, n it's fun to learn their sales tactics!? It's annoying at times, but I'm patently PATIENT with myself lately. Not willing to give up on my vision and imagination-land, playing along is working, n I do enjoy marketing, while raising awareness for the critical social changes needed by the whole, n myself. Thx!!!

Wow was it you who asked the question? I think your question was very good and everything you said makes so much sense. The first part of your quest. You made a comment about "being the enlightened one.." Also there's something called "the spiritual ego" you may be heard of. Where people awaken and then feel at times "better than" cause they are awakened. I had to deal with it a little. I would get a feeling of slight superiority, It's very sneaky. Someone brought up that type of who and that's when I realized ohhh wow I have done that. Since I read your comment I also noticed whar you said about where your working. It's like he knew. He was talking about being somewhere you don't like being and accepting it with out liking to be there. You seem to hah be found that. It's good to have someone awakened on the "inside". ✨💫💞

How is no one talking about how Eckharts ego showed itself in this video?! Lol. Sure, her ego was looking for validation from him that what she was doing was important. But he responds with by not allowing. He responds by interrupting and saying “cut it” and laughing at her because she can’t see her own ego. But his needs to control the session and keep her from talking was the first time I’ve EVER seen him tilted. This is ego, for sure. Nice to see this guy is human despite the show he’s putting on for everyone.

What is this ego you speak of,I can truthfully say dependent on how I feel or even circumstance I might even defer temporarily to hating another if I feel they are continually undermining me or in other ways harming me ,Jesus described it thus "evil" as you are or to the pharisees you brood of vipers but generally the sense is open aware acceptance, thus ego feels just like a momentary shift, is this what you mean by Heaven ?
