History edit Fenugreek is believed to have been brought into cultivation in the Near East. It is uncertain which wild strain of the genus Trigonella gave rise to domesticated fenugreek. Charred fenugreek seeds have been recovered from Tell Halal, Iraq (carbon dated to 4000 BC) and Bronze Age levels of Lachish, and desiccated seeds from the tomb of Tutankhamen.[6] Cato the Elder lists fenugreek with clover and vetch as crops grown to feed cattle.[7] In one first-century A.D. recipe, the Romans flavoured wine with fenugreek.[8] In the 1st century AD, in Galilee, it was grown as a staple food, as Josephus mentions in his book, the Wars of the Jews.[9] The plant is mentioned in the 2nd-century compendium of Jewish Oral Law (Mishnah) under its Hebrew name tiltan.

Yes, fenugreek seeds may increase the risk of bleeding in people with hemorrhoids or fistula because they can slow blood clotting. Taking fenugreek with other medications that also slow blood clotting can further increase the risk of bleeding and bruising. For this reason, people with hemorrhoids or fistula should only take small amounts of fenugreek seeds for a short time.

Right a very easy study, but expensive. Plus it is extremely difficult to get a group of 20 guys to live in a room under lock and key (to be considered a real "controlled trial"). If a trial is not controlled, basically worthless. Say a "clinical" trial. Without correct controls, who's cheating and who's not ?

Great summary, the problem with these studies are that they are different formulations and these can have a major impact on outcome and you need a large representative group of testosterone deficient males to determine a clinical effect. The problem with people is that everyone wants a one pill silver bullet for their health issues especially sexual health.

I haven't wanted to believe this, which is why I've cycled it... and it is very obvious after 2-3 days of being back on it. However, the body odor smell is very real and a huge issue. If it affects the brain to produce lactating, this can potentially become very disturbing hormonally. I talked to a doctor once about this hormonal connection for lactation, as some psychiatric drug can throw this balance off. It isn't a pretty situation if you reach such an unbalanced hormonal state in the body, because it is very complicated to make the balance come back again according to her (the psychiatrist). A family member was temporarily on the drug Abilify, and this is how I came to learn this information. Because Abilify threw this balance off, with hightening of the lactation hormon. I was considering helping with many things for the person. Looked at a lot of nutrition, including Fenugreek. So I for sure avoided Fenugreek when reading that harems used this in the ancient times to alter the womans hormones. I hope some of this make sense. BTW, Abilify comes with some deaths on the side effect chart (not sure if related), but scary. Abilify as a psychiatric drug did very little for this patient anyway

It may be normal depending on your age, but I'm in my 50's and I would not accept 255ng per dl testosterone levels......If you feel good and normal I suppose it's OK but I wouldn't have a good mood at 255....... according to quest diagnostics normal testosterone levels for male adults ranges from 250-827 nanograms per deciliter, so 255 is technically at the very bottom of the normal range.....In my experience VA is horrible for prescribing testosterone and if you really want to feel better and have more energy you should look into a testosterone replacement therapy clinic (TRT), but you should know the cost is usually around $200 per month with labs
