Amidst all of life’s chaos, we find ourselves hoping that someone up there has got a plan-a plan for our lives, a plan for our world. It’s hard to shake this hope, even when we don’t believe in God. At the same time, the notion of God’s plan comes with a lot of baggage, for fear of what it will ask of us. In this episode, Robert and Emily explore the concept of God’s plan as it appears in A Course in Miracles. In the Course, God’s plan runs all the way from the most general-what will bring everyone home to God-to the most specific-what we should do in the next hour. And at every point, God’s plan contrasts with our plans for what will make us happy. If you have wanted to understand God’s plan and if you’ve wanted a new perspective on it, this is an episode you won't want to miss.

It impossible to hold back tears when the Course and Jesus says that God misses His Sons and wants them all to come back Home. I am not entirely sure what the dynamics of emotions are like in Heaven, but when I encounter God truely and completely, it's going to be very emotional. Much Love & Light, Shalom Shalom 🪽

Another way we can understand God's plan is simply recognizing that an attack is a request for love: Only appreciation is an appropriate response to your brother. ²Gratitude is due him for both his loving thoughts and his appeals for help, for both are capable of bringing love into your awareness if you perceive them truly. ³And all your sense of strain comes from your attempts not to do just this. ⁴How simple, then, is God’s plan for salvation. (T-12.I.6:1-4) In this sense, the plan is not a sequence of events but an "escape mechanism", a tool to escape from hell (the hell of guilt and fear) Cheers my friends, Love from Argentina.

"No hope" is better than "little hope" it's a loving but firmer push shall we say towards making the final choice.

The Holy Spirit told me that God wants us to return home. I was surprised by the mental clarity I had when God started to work through me. The weight I was carrying disappeared - this can not be expressed through words; only experience can give you a glimpse into consciousness. I may use strong language here: All people who did not transcend their egos are in hell. People are in pain as long as they have an ego. The Course in Miracles helps us go beyond the ego - a new dimension of consciousness that removes insecurities, attachments, pain, addictions, and many other miseries.

I like that the course could be like the Cliff notes of what a lot of other religions were founded on, or what their mystics believed..

This is another amazing video by Emily and Robert . At one point, Robert states that unless all of humanity is engaged with God's plan Jesus states that there is NO HOPE. I was saddened by this but then I remembered that Jesus states in the ACIM the outcome is certain as God. And in another place in the ACIM Jesus states tha there is a limit in which the son of God can miscreate ( Kenneth Wapnick said Hilter was an example of that). That said, Kenneth shared in one of his books that Jesus said do my will and I will uphold it ......don't do my will and I will correct the error. Those thoughts by Jesus certainly gave me the peace of mind after listening to this podcast. Thank you both again and again for this wonderful discussion ❤

I find it so interesting that when you said who makes forgiveness a New Year’s resolution I remembered that last December my mother asked me what I wanted for Christmas and when I thought about it deeply I realized that all I wanted was forgiveness in my heart and in my life. Shortly thereafter I came across one of your videos and have begun more of a deep dive in ACA. I really do believe that when the desire or question comes it’s because the answer is ready to be revealed, thank you 🙏❤️

This is so true! Fifteen years ago, out of the blue, I was directed by God to go vegan. At the time I thought that meant I had to sacrifice my own health and life to make that change of lifestyle, but over time have found it's a win-win that is a benefit for myself as well as for others. Extending love and compassion to ALL of creation, animals, nature, and people is Gods plan, and we are all learning to live peacefully on Earth the way it is in Heaven, where no one is sacrificed or deemed unworthy of love. Thank you for these talks, they are a great help to me!

Robert's got to be an Enneagram One. Maybe a Five? Emily an Enneagram Two? I think it's interesting what people of different Enneagram and Myers-Briggs types take away from ACIM. Maybe all part of that individualized plan.

Hi, this is Robert. I've taken the Enneagram test a few times and settled myself that I am not on it. I'm kind of all over the map. Closest to one and five, I think. To be honest, I am sure that a lot of people fall through the cracks of any map.

The Tampa Bay Times. Weekend supplement, 6/12/24. TBT weekend. Article by Gabrielle Calise on Carlos Santana. When asked what books he reads, he says: I read A Course in Miracles a lot. ...teaches me how to shed all skin of negativity. Sorry no link. But I think this is really cool. "Jesus, he's my brother. Jesus, he's my friend." 💜

I have been eating up your material ravenously lately, and I have a question I would appreciate you touching on in a video at some point... One of the difficulties I've found with New Age Spirituality, and at times it's a question that comes up for me when thinking about ACIM and forgiveness and turning the other cheek, and so on... Is that we do come into situations where we are in abusive relationships, or dangerous situations, etc. In those situations, what does Jesus say about how to handle those? I think it's probably obvious that we should not lay down and let those things happen to us if we can help it, but I'd love to hear you do a video on this subject. For example, New Age Spirituality (which is what eventually led me to ACIM and now exploring your channel) can sometimes sound like we should allow ourselves to be victims in our quest for love, forgiveness, peace and non-violence. I, personally, was in a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist for 12 years and I suffer from the consequences of loving this person through the hardest of times, through the mental anguish, through the manipulation, and so on. I don't mean that I didn't do things wrong. I certainly did. I fully take that responsibility and I still love this person in a non-romantic way because they are still a person, a human, just like you and me. But loving this person and having faith in the potential of the relationship was a huge blow to my mental health. Luckily, I have been out of that situation for a few years now. But I'd like to understand what would have been a better choice, or a better way of loving someone else while still doing what is healthy for oneself. Thank you!

Hi Melinda - I’m so sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve had in relationship. Two things that might help are this sermon on spiritual bypassing: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z6xonZRn0b25daM.htmlsi=nrGs3dpN4a6XgqEq And this sermon on MLK: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sMWjabGUyavFpac.htmlsi=k62uK0yKzLu-bPcH Neither fits perfectly with your experience but both speak to the question of forgiving abuse. I hope this helps. ♥️ - Emily

We are very supportive of Andy and deeply appreciate his story, but we don't think it's a fit for this podcast. We were inspired by Andy to do our Rethinking Spiritual Authority podcast though. You can find that one here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gch6itip0J_df3k.html - Emily xx

@@CircleOfAtonement Reconsider. Too often ACIM teachers teach through broad abstractions when experiences would be a better teaching tool. This is why I enjoyed your Lorna Byrne interview...it was a teaching by experience vs a teaching by abstraction. Andy is a very flawed human being with (to this day) flawed spiritual beliefs. But his story is very important. I think more students would be helped by learning about his experience then simply watching the "Rethinking Spiritual Authority" which was good, but abstract. I'm familiar with "Endeavor Academy" where many ACIM students got hurt badly. The leader made many bad decisions including sexually assaulting female students. Had other ACIM students been warned, they could have been helped. You giving Andy a voice could help students you don't know need helping.

@@AaronSmith-sx4ez We are still talking about it. This is Robert and I do agree that Endeavor Academy was given too much of a pass in the ACIM community. It's a community in which the "aggressor" is considered to be the person who spoke out, not the party--in this case, the cult--they spoke out about.
