Does The BEST Western Hotel have The BEST FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST in the UK? Let's find out as The MacMaster reviews The Lee Wood Best Western Hotel in Buxton. All the food is cooked fresh to order and it's all you can eat, all the produce is top quality butchers meats. There's also Cereals, Yoghurts, Juices, Pastries. It's a feast. The breakfast was included in the price of the room which was £95 for the night. They also have on site EV Charging which is Free of Charge.

Lee, I think when you said the eggs were 'Okay', I would have never thought you would give a 10+. It just goes to show that the whole breakfast and service experience is what really counts. It looked absolutely fantastic and as many sausages you want too. WOW! 10 for me also.

Tea in a proper mug. Real bangers. Looked like carrot juice, a fave. A toaster that works, not one of those silly machines, nice jams and spreads. Lee, I think you've found a gem there. 10/10.

Hi Lee. looks great, only criticism would be the tomato. It looked raw, whereas for me fresh tomato has to be very well done, but preference is chopped tinned toms.

I’ve never known anybody to eat cereal after a cooked breakfast. Cereal first then whatever else you choose. Looks a beautiful place.

Glad you had a great breakfast and a good night sleep. We have stayed at Best Western Holel chain and we were so happy with the staff and facilities that they offer and would always return to them.

Hi from the USA, from a sunny but not so warm Florida! Lived in Buxton in 1996. Rented a tiny cottage in Hollins Street. That winter was awful, and the cottage was freezing. In the evenings, we'd sit by the open fire in the nearby Cheshire Cheese pub. Pretty poor back then, so sit there all night nursing a pint! No doubt, the Best Western uses fresh, locally sourced food, and it really showed!

95 quid for 1 night B & B is fantastic especially with such a have as much as you like cooked breakfast. The view from the restaurant window was to die for.

I used to work at the leewood Hotel and the breakfast is not cooked to order it is pre-cooked and the beans are done in the microwave the bacon,sausages and the hash browns are brought in frozen if you want to try a real breakfast you should try the monsal head hotel

That breakfast looked pretty nice, although I’d have asked for the beans to be left off, can’t stand them at breakfast (or most other times 😉). Triangle toast for me 👍. I almost always go for water rather than some high sugar fruit juice. But it sounds as if individual tastes are well catered for so that’s all one can ask 😀.

Actually " over easy eggs " are flipped during cooking , for a short time so the yolk is still runny .

Over easy the whites are still half raw. I always order over medium. Whites done, yolk still runny.

That's a proper back to front breakfast Lee. Juice, cereal, full English then Toast. You completely the wrong way round.

Breakfast looked good , plenty of choice too , all you need especially when stranded for a night or two . I've stayed in a few best Westerns over the years and they do vary , but have to say that one looks spot on , and fair play to them for the free EV charging 👏👏 breakfast score from me 9 out of 10 as I prefer tin toms , but it did look good 👍🏻 great Vlog Lee as usual 👍🏻

What a great review Lee . I was really enjoying it until the end when you mentioned the rate at £95 / night . I spent last night in a hotel in Canberra , Australia . It was an International chain hotel , and it cost me $325 with breakfast inferior to yours . By the way I’m a diagonal cutter , seems easier to bite on somehow . Cheers Lee and I’m hoping you managed to make it home in the milk float .

That breakfast looked braw 👌. Glad to see that you had a decent winter coat with you. Must be a Mansfield thing, fried eggs just need a touch of the hot fat dressing over the yolk before serving. Superb vlog as always. Loving the snow scape.

I would give that a 9.9 out of ten. No black pudding, one hash brown and only one egg, tut tut. I actually prefer fresh tomatoes as opposed to tinned these days. That tea pot was huge (about 3 mugs I reckon) and a lovely big mug to pour it in, yummy.

Lee great vlog as always just to let you know how much me and the wife really enjoyed your vlogs in Benidorm with Mr Geoff Carter we were in stitches at you pair on that electric scooter, and Geoff with his scoop (pint). Now subscribed to Geoff’s channel. So glad you’ve decided to get rid of the electric car I had a works van that was electric it lasted 5 months before our company had us all back in diesel vans. Truly a blessing in disguise, that looked top quality, its on my list if I have to go Buxton way with an overnight . I would have deleted the beans for another sausage and an extra bacon and an extra egg, definitely a 10 plus Lee. Its a no brainer if you are in an EV or plug in hybrid, for the free charging, makes the £95 more like £45 if you were paying for full charge at some charging stations.

Loved this !!! The Hotel was so nice! The food looked fantastic. As an owner of a Porsche Cayenne, the all wheel drive is great. Comfortable as well. I also had the Boxster S. I didn’t enjoy getting in and out! I did like the fun of driving it !! ❤

Hey Lee the style of eggs you are referring to are called basted eggs. Over essy eggs are flipped. For basted eggs instead of turning the eggs over on the grill or pan you splash a little water down around the eggs and throw a lid over them for a minute so the steam cooks the top of the egg. At least thats what we do in Canada eh😉

That looked a really nice hotel mate and a lovely breakfast. Even though I don’t like mushrooms and prefer tinned tomatoes like yourself, I can see why you gave this a 10+. Sausages, Bacon, Egg, Beans and Hash Brown looked great. Only things that were missing were Fried Bread and Black Pudding. Other than that though it looked fabulous. I’ll go 9.5/10. As for the juices. I do like both orange or apple juice when having a full English but my favourite is Cranberry Juice. So I tend to opt for that whenever it’s available. Thanks for another great video Lee and glad you enjoyed your stay and managed to charge your car up👍

What a beautiful Best Western, the snow makes it enticing to go there the view from the windows when having your breakfast, is lovely. Hubby gives it a 10 for breakfast, apple juice for me. The toast is posher cut triangle,some how tastes nicer lol. We have stayed at Best Western's our favourite was in Bournemouth, all the meals was very good.

Another tidy wee video; making the best of the wintry weather in rural Englandshire. Great hotel with smart, helpful staff and free charging ... just for knowledge; over easy is a turned (over) egg. What you want is a "pink egg", where the yolk is basted with fat until it looks sort of pink.

Looked decent for a chain hotel. They clearly take pride in what they do. You can just tell that management in that particular one are totally on the ball. Personally would prefer a nice slice of local black pudding than a raw tomato. Bacon and egg looked spot on. Also, yes, if you must, apple juice. I personally don't do either, but the amount of people who dump orange juice on an empty stomach in the morning when it's basically an ulcer waiting to happen.

Breakfast looked very nice indeed. The toast has to be cut triangular and tinned tomatoes instead of a fresh tomato. The decor was lovely too definitely a 9 out of ten.

10/10 for the main breakfast. Prefer my toast a bit more done but nice choice - marmalade for me. Pineapple juice I prefer - they didn’t have that by the look. Kippers in the morning I love too. Also smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. Overall a great breakfast there Lee. The hotel looks great too. I may look into coming up there and staying in the same place. I like the area a lot and I have a mate who lives in Chesterfield.

Tasty looking breakfast for a change. I like the fact that they had proper toasters and not the conveyor belt ones where you wait ages for the bread to go through and its cremated or hardly coloured. Now I always thought the order should be juice, cereal and the main breakfast with tea and toast to follow. Anyway look forward to your Buxton tour and dare I say fish and chips.

Once rode the bus from Chesterfield-Buxton through the peaks some two weeks after a heavy snowstorm, which had cleared everywhere else but still lay extremely thick in the peaks! When it snows in the peak district, it snows!

I think this video has been reversed in the editing… We all know you start with juice Then some cereal Followed by the cooked breakfast (with toast) And finish with a savoury (croissant or similar) 😊😊😊 looked very good though, worthy of at least a 9.

Great video Lee, that breakfast looked really good. Mind you the hotel called Lee so had to be good. Definitely looked like a 10+ to me. I've had some hotel breakfasts in my time, but nothing ever like that. And free charge to boot. The only thing I have to add is you left way to much jam and marmalade in them pots 😂😂😂

Diagonal cut for me - it just looks more aesthetically pleasing. Apple or orange juice? Well - to be traditional, it has to be orange. By the way, Kellogg's Crunchy Nut is probably my favourite cereal(been ages since I had it). Looked like a great breakfast. I hope you get back home soon.

The triangular cut should be used for bacon sarnies as the shape of the bacon as it lends itself to that ,but never for a sausage banjo as it leaves that little flappy bit that falls out and makes a mess of your shirt. Top tips every day

Great breakfast especially when it’s snowing outside I like my toas cut in triangular and I prefer fruit and fire but like them all I never tried apple juice but do like it

Looks clean , tidy and well presented. Butter on toast then strawberry jam a big no no. Have one but not both together. Like having chicken Kiev then covering it with gravy. Incidentally don't be tempted to eat the snow especially if its yellow.

Nice Hotel & that breakfast looked Delicious with bent Sausages, toast has to be cut in to Triangle shapes. we might even stay at that hotel next time we go to the Opera house to watch a show & can I just say that's how we have our tomatoes with our breakfast round these parts 😂 Loved the Vlog lee. Regarding cutting the toast, for a square piece of toast of side 10cm then a cut of 10cm is required if cut down the middle. If you cut from corner to corner then, applying Pythagoras, a cut of sqrt(200) =14.14cm is required. This, obviously, will require more energy on your behalf. However, you now have the advantage of being able get the pointy bit into your mouth which I think is preferable. I guess it's just a trade off between the two which you must decide.
