Your podcast is really Interesting because I'm French and we don't have this whole religion aspect in our society so I'm learning a lot about your culture and that's amazing 😃 by the way, I'm really impressed about your maturities at such a young age, taking this decision to get married and knowing that your partner is the one seems really difficult. Wish you the best guys ❤

I think God's plan is ultimately existent. For some people, they aren't destined to be married, such as Paul, so I wouldn't say that there is necessarily a "The One" for everybody. I think the Lord in his divine nature always knows who we will end up married to, (or if we even get married) but we as humans aren't aware until it is revealed to us in His timing.

This episode is amazing! I loved and enjoyed watching it! Thank you Gabe, Chad, and Zach for sharing your thoughts and stories about this prompt. I've been single my whole life and it did get to the point where I asked myself, "Am I ever going to find "The One"?" But I believe God's timing is perfect.

Adultry, abuse, and some other things in that vicinity release one from marriage however. God loves us as individuals and doesn't expect us to endure abuse or infidelity when the other is not repentant...we don't have to keep sacrificing ourselves. In heaven, I believe the Bible says we aren't married there. Christian counselor Leslie Vernick (on KZfaq) has some great info on how the church should handle those w/ marriage difficulties. Sometimes marriages end b/c an individual has a major issue that they aren't willing to improve or seek help for. I.e. addiction and draining the entire families finances w/ no regard for them or what situation that puts them in...homeless, danger etc. It's important Christians don't feel trapped when they are in actual danger to their health and wellbeing in a relationship when the other person is unwilling to work on that. I know some may think this caveat is implied but some Christians basically believe you stay married AT ALL COSTS...which isn't Biblical. I believe God knows who "the one" will be for us...ie who we will choose w/ God's guidance, hopefully.

i don’t believe this is just “the one”. all it takes is for one person to marry the “wrong” person...if they have family, is that kid not supposed to exist? then they’re not going to be able to find “the one” to marry because they weren’t supposed to exist in the first place. when God created Eve, He presented her to Adam, and he found her suitable. It wasn’t forced on him.
