The Twizy is just great the 500w heater is a great idea. Loving the music track just what's needed for driving about.

Good video Andy, and nice little set up. Not so practical up here in norther Canada in the winter but for a summer runabout the Twizy looks great.

Ever thought of taking the door cards off & installing a solenoid to pop the doors open remotely. Would be a very cool mod for the Twizy. Maybe fitting stronger door rams/struts too so they open fully.

have you considered trying to use a wind proof blanket around the footwell and legs, like the official blanket that you could get for the car? Also would it be possible to fashion some sort of curtain behind the seat to trap the warm air in around you more, so you don't need to heat as much space up?

Gerbing do a great range of heated vests/gloves for motorcycles. I have their heated gloves and they can be connected to the 12v or use rechargeable batteries which run for about 3 hours - game changers in the cold weather :)

does any of the motor controllers or motor create much heat on the twizy if it does, perhaps if you get a pc water cooler and pc radiator and then rig up a small water pump and attach the head block on the hot motor or controller and maybe the radiator mounted inside would exchange that heat out in the cab? food for though.... 😁

I would install a 1kw silenced generator in the back of that twizzy so its charging the battery as its travelling. I know it defeats the object of battery power but does largely extend the range and would also offer heat too.

Have you looked at oil filled radiator for room heating..?

With that power bank with an inverter you can plug in a good old fashioned oil heater!

That Citroen Ami Quadrocycle which should be coming next year would be better in regards to drafts over the Twizzy , pity it’s restricted to 28 miles hour.

been thinking someone should invent a quad bike with a cover over it, since people always say they don't want a motorbike because of the rain or its too unsafe or not suitable for women or something, this car already sort of is that, and it looks cute rather than horrendous like many small cars like the Smart Car, I still think they need to make these micro cars more masculine looking though.

Maybe friction to give heat then tap off that. But it is about energy for sure.

Have you concidered a solar panel? High efficient has been made and can be fitted to the roof. The new 2021 Twizy has a panel.

I would have thought a screen demist would be more useful than a bum heater! How about a separate lithium battery installed somewhere and a few of those 12v 120w windscreen heaters?

Hi, have recently purchased a secondhand Twizy, 3,000km the orange SERV light turns on after about 100m meters of driving and the back brakes make a noise like a wire brush rubbing on the brake disks, any ideas ? thanks

Probably you could keep a heated jacket in there would be most efficient? With a decent neck piece and some cover for your waist and thighs also, gloves ect? Literally just said yourself as I typed...

I wear heated gloves , heated jacket , and I own heated trousers, also heated pads for your shoes .... all powered by small lithium battery banks However The victorians had some cool ideas , heated copper bed pan , hot water bottle .... candles lol 😆 What you need is a hot woman 👩.... If a ceramic space heater can be made and made hot before you set out ... Also no mention on insulation can it be improved ? .... Shame about the fire option though. Plasma is best 🔥
