So often times people get this command wrong…. honor,thy mother and father means to bring honor to the family mean to do things that are always good and reflect good for the family… however, sometimes, like myself, we have terrible parents…God wants us to separate ourselves from them… that’s the whole tare and wheat thing…. for example, my mother is an evil abusive narcissist, it’s not safe for myself my husband, or my son to ever be around her or to be in contact with her…. however, she’s always able to brag about how accomplished I and my husband are as well As our son. She’ll always be able to brag about us, but we have zero contact with her, and that is direction from God.
